Hey guys. I am a software engineer in Silicon Valley and a regular fitbit user with about 15 pounds to lose in my immediate goal.
I realized that I couldn't really see on my dashboard how I'm doing on a daily basis with regard to my weight loss plan, so I created an app that will beautifully display not only how your actual weight compares to where you should be on any particular day, but also where you should be based on what foods you have been logging.
I hope you'll try it out and give me any feedback that will help me improve it.
Find it on the playstore here: FitViz for Android

Hello, I am a numbers geek so I am going to try out your app. It crashed o me sadly when I logged into it. 😞 I hope it works soon because I think your idea is really cool and could give some of us that extra push we need

If you could show the weight in kilograms, I'd buy it (again).

Thanks for the heads up!

Hi again Tina.
I've taken a look and don't see any issues with your profile. I was able to load your graph without issues.
Would you mind trying again and let me know if you still have issues?

After an hour or two it went away. I assumed you took care of it. I haven't had a problem since! I like the app a lot and now I cannot wait to weigh in this week!

Awesome! So glad you're enjoying it, and best of luck on your journey. I'm also on that journey, and it's why I created this tool. Please let me know if there is anything you would like to see added or improved.

Is there a way to get the apk file? I use a Kindle and the Google app store doesn't recognize it.
Thanks,
Keith

I'm sure we can work something out. Can you purchase through the google play store through the browser? I can then send you the apk, but you wouldn't receive regular updates.

No, Google doesn't like me any more. You have to have a recognized Android device. I switched to an iPhone and use a Kindle (although it does run Chrome - go figure) for most things.
I do have PayPal and get some apps (including Fitbit 1.9.1) from http://market.1mobile.com. I live in Dublin so I get to the city (SF) every now and then.
Thanks,
Keith

I also get the "Limit Exceeded. Try again at the top of the hour." message when I lof into the app. 😞 And the app sounds amazing...

I just returned from vacation, but will check into this. There was recently an update to the Fitbit API which will allow for better handling of API rate limits.

Tried at 4:00, 4:01, and 4:02. The top of the hour. Got the same "Limit Exceeded. Try again at the top of the hour." error message. Oh well, only $1 wasted...

I promise it's not wasted. I will get it resolved and let you know. I have just been out of the country and am catching up on work at my day job, but I will certainly make sure to get it working for you.

Good morning! Still looking for a way to get the apk file to try on a Kindle. Do you have a PayPal account?
Thanks,
Keith
