Any Chefs / Entrepreneurs/ Business owners out there?

Hi!  I am the head Pastry Chef and Owner of a gluten-free bakery!  I am looking for fellow chefs, entreprenuers, and business owners who want to become friends and help motivate each other to lose weight/workout more/stress management/ etc - basically focus on ourselves for once!  I have found that it is most helpful for me to try and connect with people who have similar issues/problems with their weightloss / motivation due to: time constraints, burn out, constantly having to taste test products, working 24/7, etc.

Currently, I am using a FitBit blaze in conjunction with MyFitnessPal, with a focus on Macros and Calorie Intake/Expenditure.  I also have a gym membership and hired a trainer for a month.

Anyone else struggling with trying to find the time/energy to put yourself first and business second?  I find myself always working and thinking about work - which I love! However, in order to be the best boss and leader - I need to be the best me! I'm looking for others who feel similarly and share similar issues.  If so, add me or message me! 🙂

Hi @chefk!  I work at a full time job and am an entrerprenuer as well. I am a lifestyle and nutrition coach.  One of my resolutions this year was to put a little more focus on taking care of myself.  So far I have been going to the gym regularly and taking my own advice and eating cleaner and nutritional cleansing.   I am already down a few lbs and am noticing my energy levels coming back up.

I just got a Fitbit flex and I have been using Isagenix for over 3 years.  I lost over 60lbs and more than 6 feet from my body in my first few months (I am only 5'7), then maintined a healthy weight for 2.5 years and put on about 15lbs last summer that has been hanging around (I don't work at my full time job in the summer so I tend to over indulge and have a harder time saying "No")  Looking forward to getting rid of this last bit of belly and looking and feeling amazing this for summertime!!

Hey @MrsBrown !

Yay! Great to meet you!

That all sounds awesome.  I just started a week ago back at the gym and I have a trainer 1x/week that writes my workouts for the entire week.  So Ive been going about 4-5 times a week.  The first few days I saw loss, and now, I'm back up.  How do you feel about the calorie count on your fitbit? I burn roughly 3,000-3500 calories a day and it typically says I am under my calories for the day with my food.  It's actually hard for me to eat as much as it wants part of the time because I'm so busy.  Im wondering if this is contributing to a gain again?

I had lost almost 100 pounds and have kept the weight off for years, however, after opening my bakery 1.5 years ago and coupled with intensive knee surgery last winter and medical issues- I gained about 40 back in the last 2 years.  So, I'm trying my best to do what I can daily.

Love your approach! It's been a challenge trying to put myself first because I'm kind of a workaholic, but it's also been rewarding as well.  How has you been staying motivated/finding time to fit everything in?  Also what is Isagenix?
