HI Folks
Well as of today I lost .4 lbs during our last challenge. Not much at all. During stay at home to avoid Covid-19 I am more sedentary but I walk for 7500+ steps a day. Please wear a mask if you go out. It is mandatory here in Sonoma Co, CA. We are bending the curve tho'. Hope that you and yours are all still virus free. Try to eat healthfully in spite of the stress of our times.

Hi again,
Has no one else joined us this time? Stay safe and well. Stay away from people as this virus can spread 13-15' away by air it turns out. I wear a mask when I leave the house or car.
Struggling with procrastination as I'm watching lots of news and social media about Covid-19. I tend to do this in a crisis. I try to watch and understand what is happening. I end up yelling at the screen tho' when leaders are lying and not helping as people die. So glad for some of the wiser governors. Saw a beautiful musical show on TV last night called One World at home together. Well all the best,

@dancefoxtrot Looks like it might just be you and me.
I am still working but they split us into two shifts in March - 3 days a week with 12 hour days and no one can cross shifts. Got an e-mail today saying we are going back to 'normal' next Monday. When I go out it is only to one or two of four different stores or to walk around the neighborhood. I haven't worn a mask or gloves but do social distance and wash my hands obsessively when we return home. I also lysol wipe my phone, steering wheel, car/house door handles, seat belt and radio buttons, light switches and door knobs. My husband and son have also been working but so far we have remained safe.
I find I get more anxious the more I watch/hear so I have cut a lot of the news out. I went on line last week and saw two different articles (on the same day/same hour) one was What to have on hand during this time and the other was What you don't need right now - the lists were practically identical!
Bottled water and water filters - stock up for 30 days vs. tap water is perfectly safe and there is no need to stock up. This went on for about 15 items each. I was laughing out loud but at the same time it pointed out that this is uncharted territory for everyone and no one has any idea what is best right now.

I'm off to a bit of a slow (read: backwards) start but it should get better as my job went back to regular hours this week so I won't have every other day to just sit around.

I took a step backwards too. Somewhere between my daughter baking and my crappy on-call weekend, I'm thinking mostly the latter. Its a rare oddity not the norm thank fully.
I still would have ate my a piece of my daughter's giant cookie but had I not been stressed it wouldn't have been as big of a piece. In case you are wondering it was delicious. My 13 year old knows how to bake and she loves it. I'm not sure I could ever say no to anything she makes. So I won't make excuses. 🙂
In spite of that set back I'm still hopeful I can meet my weight goal.

I'm not doing well but I'm here. I hadn't charged my fitbit in so long but I did it last night and I went for a walk this morning. I'm at my highest weight and having major issues with mobility now and it's leading to more health issues. I have to fix this. I'd done so well and I ruined it. I'm making the changes right now. I'm back.

@rjolley43 - Having a baker in the house must be heavenly and a trial LOL! I'm sure we are all stress eating sometimes now due to what's going on in the world.
@_Lilac_ - So glad you're back but sorry you're not doing well. Remember not to over do it, that's when you get hurt! You can still exercise without a lot of joint stress - look up chair exercises/stretching on Google. You are a strong woman who can do what she has to to become her very best self! Message me if you need to vent or just a challenge partner.

So, I went for a walk around the block at 6:45am. I get halfway and my back is on FIRE from carrying my big belly. There's some steps I have to sit on to stretch out my back and then I can continue on. Then, we went shopping this afternoon. When I got home a neighbor brought some straw bales for my garden and I had to walk to the closest ATM to get money to pay him. Again, I had to sit to stretch my back that was on FIRE, both there and back. I am so out of shape that I'm disabled. A whole freakin' block kills me. Do you know how disappointed in myself I am? I used to be able to go for hours. I was averaging 14k steps a day. I would go to the pool for an hour of water aerobics, walk 10k steps on top of that, have energy, got down to 2X clothes. And now I'm back up to 5X. This is the worst feeling ever.
Okay, so this is the day of change. I've done two walks and a shopping trip. I'm not flat on my back so that's a plus. Everyone, please, please, do your best to be healthy. You don't want to be like this. It's painful, physically and mentally.

Did okay today. Got some yard work done. My sister wants to put in a garden so I helped rake leaves and carried compost and manure bags and tidied the deck, etc. I'm stiff but I'm doing okay. I just need to move and do something productive each day. I'm feeling better.

I'm hungry. I still have a meal to eat and over 1000 to play with so I'll have no trouble staying under my max. I burned 2700 so far and I still have to do a bit of a workout. My hands and feet are swollen so I'm drinking lots of water to flush it out. I'm working on it!

More gardening today. I was out raking and got my phone to take a video of the dogs rolling around on a tarp. Sent the video to my mom and she replied that I was out of breath (she could hear it in the video) and doing too much and I need to take a break. haha. I can't be active and not be out of breath...so there's that. Food is fine. Working at this.

Got more movement in last week but got hardly any steps this weekend. Spent Friday morning at the hospital for Hubby's procedure. They are happy with his progress and removed the drainage tube he has had in since August - YAY! Did some yard work on Saturday but it didn't count many steps (weeding in a smaller area, not a lot of movement). Then yesterday had a four hour (yes, four) video chat with our daughter. Just basic catching up but we all get chatty. Again, not much movement. Hoping to do better the rest of this week starting with a walk this evening. Food has also been up in the air because....I'm very tired of cooking! So we have been supporting some local establishments and helping the economy LOL! Happy my weight is down but not quite sure how it happened.
@_Lilac_ - so proud of you for starting in again! Out of breath for now but on your way to a walk down the block being easy.

No movement today. The weather changed and I'm so sore all over. I have been getting a bit dizzy and feeling weird when I get up and walk around so I think it's my neurological problems. The dogs are even flaked, so we've been 'chilling' as the young people say nowadays. I am doing fine on food and drinking my water. I'm tracking everything, keeping my calories in check for the movement I'm doing (or lack of). I was thinking last night how much I NEED the pool. My province hasn't had any new cases of Covid in over two weeks now and everyone who had it has recovered. I don't want things rushed, but I can't wait to get to the YMCA. That pool will feel soooo good.

Well, I think I jinxed the hope of things opening soon. We got new cases of covid overnight. Oh well. Today was dreary again and it even snowed. It was shopping day though, so I went out to a few stores. I have fresh veggies and lean meats. I didn't buy snacks that weren't fruit or yogurt. I'm doing good!
