I have been using them off and on in my Herbalife shakes and am losing weight just fine! I say off and on because, like right now for instance, I have run out and don't plan to do any grocery shopping til the weekend lol.

I eat a banana almost every day. I put it in my protein shake and still am losing. I try to eat my fruit before Noon. Bananas are really good for you with the potassium.

I am also following a calorie counting 'diet'. I don't want to restrict anything --I have tried that too many times in the past. It only caused me to feel deprived and go bananas with binging. (whole bags of chips, cookies, etc etc.) So why not have a banana if that is what you want and count the calories. Of course, if you are following a different plan that makes a difference.
Here's an old WW recipe. Haven't tried it for years. I liked it back then -- not sure how it would taste to me now as I am not so big on artificial sweeteners anymore. Take a banana, cut it up into 'coins'. Place on aluminum foil. Take a package of diet hot chocolate mix (25 calories?) and add just enough water to make it into a thick syrup. Place a dollop on each banana piece. Freeze and you have chocolate covered bananas. Eat them frozen.

I have been eating a banana each morning in my protein shake to keep my potassium levels up. I do not believe it is hindering my weight loss in any way.
Started with a Flex. Now have ChargeHR.

msfarkee, have you tried the Dole Bannana Dippers? They come in 100 calorie packs, so I don't know how that compares to the WW recipe you posted. I, personally, have not tried them but have heard people on other diet boards rave about them. You can find them in the frozen foods section.

I haven't read all the posts, but I can tell you that I eat a banana everyday with my breakfast, and I've lost 50 lbs in the past 4.5 months. For me personally, I need the sugar in the morning and find they help fill me up. I also like that they are full of good stuff for me. I usually lose 2-3 lbs a week and so clearly eating bananas aren't hindering my weight loss! 🙂
