Body fat % reduces if multiple weigh ins

Hi,

My bodyfat % seemed to still be at 25% today despite it definitely having reduced in reality over the past 4 weeks. I tried weighing in 5 times this morning to recalibrate as advised, but found that % went down every time I weighed. I've now done 15 weigh ins this morning and my % has slowly gone down from 25% to 20.8%, and seems to have levelled out at 20.8% now. Is this a normal calibration issue, so scale now correct, or am I getting a false reading here due to all of the weigh ins? (Hopefully it's the former!)

Thanks, Rob  🙂

Sadly it means you have a non-consistent scale.

So don't count on 1 reading to be useful as anything more than a data point to record with others over months of time.

And expect any data point to be within a 10% range of accurate reading (it's not actually reading fat, it's measuring impendance to electric signal and stats for the rest).

Great job doing measurements too - as that can tell a better tale than even scale weight sometimes, let alone BF%.
