Hi all,
Can you please explain me the Calorie once more time? 🙂
I have my fit bit and entered all my personal data (43 years old, 177cm, 77kg).
When I go to to the foodplaner it asks me for my goal (77kg --> 72kg) and based on a "Kinda hard" level it gives me a cal deficit of -750cal / day.
So checking this in the App further under the "Goals" and than "Nutrition Food" section a total of 1333 cal per day is now calculated for me.
Up to this point I kinda understand where the app is going to and matches close to what the cal in vs out page suggests.
My problem is that when I hit the main dashboard and see the "Energy burned" than a value of (at writing of this text) 1498 of 2600 cal.
I dont understand where the 2600cal come from as I would have thougt that should be the calculated 1333 cal from above?
I potentially can change the 2600cal to another value but dont know if I set it now to 1333cal or if its something completly different?
So am I now aiming to archive the 1333cal or 2600cal?
Hope somebody can shed some light into this 🙂
Many thanks,
Chris

I could be wrong, but I believe your lower number is your basal metabolic rate, what your body needs to maintain weight, and the higher number is taking into account your daily activity calorie burn from any form of movement from logged calorie burn recorded. I would go with the higher one, stick to it for a week, and go from there. Weightloss is simply calories in calories out, the kinds of calories just determines how much muscle you will lose on the way down, so keep the protein up.
