Can't seem to lose thos last 10 pounds?

I'm stuck. I can't seem to lose the last 10 pounds and I need to reach my goal by May 11. Should I work out longer or eat less? I don't know what to do.

Hello KelZ96,

 

I know how you feel! Those blasted ended few pounds that you can't get-rid-of. Okay this might sound counter intuitive, but here it goes anyways. DON'T LOOK AT YOUR SCALE or weight right now! Take a towel and cover your scale, turn off that weight monitoring app, do what ever it take NOT to look at those blasted number! All it will do is stress you out more and may even make you work less or counter the efforts that you have worked so hard at. I suggest taking a few pictures of yourself every week till May 11th and have fun with it, model it. Show it off to your friends and family. Show them what hard work looks like. This not only will encourage you but the most important show the monthly progress you are doing.

 

Now on the diet and exercise question. Starting with your exercise, I wouldn't workout any harder than you are now. Eventually you'll exhaust yourself which isn't that great for you. In the other hand I would adjust your workout routine. Do some interval training, you may be doing this right now as we speak, great!. But if no and you may ask what is interval training. Well in short it's when you lower and raise your heart continuously. Examples for this is to sprinting as fast as your can and then walk for a few seconds and then start sprint for a few seconds more, continue this for as long as you can. My recommendation would be 20 - 30 minutes if you can, but sure you can, I challenge you Smiley Happy. I would do this every other day switching with lifting some heavy stuff and sprinting. Lifting weights doesn't mean you'll get huge it just engages the inner muscles to grow and burn calories, which is what you want. When you sleep the muscles in your body heals and grows and with this burn calories while you rest, awesome right...? Below are some helpful link tips
