For all my Chats, Challenges & Laughs peeps! Since we can't get on the threads I thought I would start a discussion area for us. We may not be able to keep track of points standings easily but we can still talk.
I miss you!

Celeste, congrats on the loss. Even when I make bad choices, the consequences are such that I get right back on track. I now believe that my life-long chronic headaches were/are the result of my unhealthy lifestyle, even as a kid. Everything we ate was processed except the meat that we processed in the farm in my grade school years.
Today has been good. After my devotional, I felt like going back to bed but I had mapped out my day last night and I had several things to accomplish. After breakfast, I went grocery shopping, then water aerobics, baked cookies, cut up vegetables, and grilled chicken kabobs. I ate mine for lunch and Hubby's is ready for his dinner while I help with Vacation Bible School at church. I even sewed for over an hour. Instead of work out, I feel great, except a slight headache from the 7 cookies I ate. Even making mostly good choices, I still overate cookies, but they are darn good!

So I had three great meals yesterday - lots of zero point foods and didn't even feel deprived. Then I had a big bowl of ice cream and a tasty kake pie. The good news is I tracked every bite. The bad news is I ended the day using 53 WW points! But, because of working at the treadmill workstation, my body sculpt, cardio dance and abs classes, I earned back some points so I still have a few weekly points left.
I'm also making great progress on reaching my sleep goal - averaged just over 7 hours a night last week and am on track to do the same this week.

Good job ladies! It's starting out as a positive week!
I cooked frozen teriyaki salmon patties for dinner. Had them hamburger style with potato salad on the side. Drank 32 oz of water - on my way to 64. So no soda and no fast food. Day one - not bad.

Had another re-start at WW yesterday after another 1 lb gain. Today, I'm doing good using zero point foods and realizing how a simple cup of sweetened cereal costs me 6 points (before milk). It's definitely a different way of eating, more thought and more prep needed, but I have the time now so no excuses!
I think I need to check out that book, Elaine. I don't make lists; I procrastinate which makes me feel worse. The thought of getting through all 'my stuff' and getting organized here is overwhelming ... yet not at least trying a little bit every day is getting me no where. I need to step up to the plate and live each day as the only day.

My meals yesterday weren't as low point as the day before and I again had a bit of a sugar binge last night, BUT, the scale keeps going down (0.2 lbs). I had a power and strength class yesterday so need to be much more careful today as yoga won't be burning quite as many calories.
I managed just over 7 1/2 hours of sleep last night. Surprisingly for the first time in over a week, I didn't wake up before the alarm.

Day 1 of my WW eating re-start went well. This pm is a family gathering. I plan to eat a 0 pt meal before I go to help out on food choices there. I got 9 hours of sleep last night! I'd been going on 4 - 5 hrs for a while again. Hubby went fishing this morning so I slept in. Was in bed for over 12 hours to get it, but it was worth it! More later ...

I didn't work out Tuesday as my back was tight from standing in the church kitchen. I did meet my step goal.
My weight at WW this morning was 255.4, up 0.6. Despite what the scale says, my improved habits have me feeling pretty good.
I'm working on several sewing projects that I would like to have finished for the quilt show the end of July. Even though it doesn't rack up steps, I move from the sewing machine to the cutting table to the ironing board for hours at a time.

So, I went to the party with 2 pts under my belt. I now have to figure out what my eating added up to as best I can. I made good choices and allowed the special dessert. Think I did better than I have in quite some time.
Now that we are back here, I think we can attach photos again. Would be nice to see a quilt or two 🙂

I think I need to start posting my points again - reminds me of the basics and what i need to do everyday to be successful on this journey.
3 for Wednesday (Posting, Exercise and Tracking) - it's really ironic that early on in this journey meeting my daily step goal and drinking all my water were the easiest points to get and now they seem to e the ones I miss most often.... getting ideas for my July goals.
Elaine - I think we sometimes let the number on the scale get to much inside our heads. You are absolutely right, if you know you are doing good things you SHOULD feel good DESPITE what the scale says. We can't let those minor fluctuations throw us off track. While I step on the scale every day in order to record my weight in a spreadsheet I set up (yes I'm a numbers geek) I'm not concerned about the daily number because that goes up and down quite a bit day to day, I'm looking at what's happening with my ten day average. While I have my weekly weigh in's at WW, there too I'm actually more concerned about where I am today vs a month ago.
CJ - I like your approach - progress not perfection. This is a lifestyle change and those old habits aren't going to change overnight. For me being mindful and aware are key - why even though I'm in negative numbers for my weekly points this week, I continue to track every bite I take.

Doing better this week, 3 days with no soda, no fast food. Some snacking at home but limiting portion size and once the treats are gone they will not be replaced. Got to the gym last night and made my step goal as well as upping my water to 41 oz.
Weather is still wrecking my knees. Took a prescription ibuprofen before bed (yes, they both hurt even with no weight on them) and ended up sleeping deeply but having bizarre dreams, then couldn't wake up this morning. Glad you are all on track!
I haven't seen Jan2512 lately, anyone heard from her?

Ended up with over 60 WW points yesterday. I probably estimated a little high, but it is a real eye opener how things end up.
Wed - 3 pts / posting, logging, water

5 points for Wednesday and Thursday
I walked 45 minutes this morning, then this afternoon I walked around the town square asking if the businesses would let us hang quilts in their windows to promote our upcoming quilt show. I thought mid-afternoon would be a good time to approach businesses, especially restaurants, but the temperature was about 90.

4 for Thursday (exercise, posting, water, steps)
After bragging how, despite my high point days, I was diligently tracking every bite, I went off the rails yesterday - both by not tracking and in my extremely poor choices. We had a luncheon for our boss who is moving to a different department and while I did pretty well with the meal, the desserts killed me - two pieces of cake. One of which I honestly should have just tossed after the first bite. It was unbelievably sweet - the sugar coma I suffered later in the afternoon was so not worth it. And then to top it off, my husband (who does the majority of cooking in our family) made a dessert too! He never makes desserts, what is up with that?
At out toastmasters meeting yesterday, I kept hearing Catherine's words of wisdom and volunteered to do a "table topic". For those not familiar with toastmasters at each meeting several people have to speak for a few minutes on a topic that they are "assigned" or randomly select on the spot. I was soooo nervous, but I'm glad I did it as I'm scheduled to do my icebreaker speech (4 - 6 minutes) at the next meeting. I'm going to need to do some prep between now and then for that one.

Thursday was day four of no soda, no fast food and only drinking water. I realized I was only about 600 steps away from my goal so marched in place before bed to hit it. Plan on going to the gym again today too.
Today will be my fast food treat day - a) because I planned for one or two days a week and b) we have nothing in the house and the leftovers are gone. We need to go grocery shopping LOL!
Here's to a great weekend!

Fri - 3 pts
Went for my first walk - at 2pm in over 80 degrees on a walking trail with DNR guide. There were about a dozen of us. Went over flora / fauna / over 100 year old mine pits. Got over 8,000 steps; haven't done that for a while. Now I need to walk every day!

Friday = 4 points (posting, exercise, steps and water)
You are all so inspiring! At the end of my yoga class, it had started to rain (flash flood warning type of downpour) so instead of running back to my desk to get my bigger umbrella and get drenched anyway walking to my car on the far end of the parking lot, I jumped onto the eliptical. I was ready to throw in the towel after about 8 minutes but since it was still raining, I stuck with it. I was rewarded for my efforts with a rainbow! By the time my 30 minute workout was done, it was no longer raining and the machine said I had covered 4.5 miles and had burned over 250 calories.
DD comes home from her European adventure today. We pick her up at the high school this evening. Hopefully the flight for the other group they are sharing the bus back from the airport with isn't delayed.
I sent Jan a message letting her know that those of us who are still posting are doing so here. I hope I get e response.

So good to hear from you Susan. It is fun and inspiring to read the posts.
It took me a long time to fall asleep last night due to allergy coughing (nature walk residue), but once I did I slept for 3 hours straight. I have never slept that long without waking since I started tracking back in 2015! I still can't believe it.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday / Sunday. Later.
