Last night I went to bed with a headache & sore throat, I woke up with a headache & stomach ache.  I didn't get out of bed till gone 12:00pm.  So, I had a very lazy day.

CJ-- I have lived in the Redwoods for 7 years -- the funny thing is they seem normal now -- when I go someplace else I'm thinking "why are all the trees so small?"

@Sport That's hilarious, Sherry - little trees.  I've seen your awesome ocean pics, but didn't realize you were nestled in the redwoods, too.  You are one lucky gal 🙂

 

@sherryoglesby I'm consistent with logging, water and posting.  Haven't gotten into exercise and I'm not using my fitbit now - so no steps.  At work we are starting another March fitness challenge so I'll need to get my fitbit up and running before March 5th.

 

@Brenda_Smith I think the young and the old will mix beautifully.  Maybe there would be an opportunity to have your little one(s) visit your hospice patient(s).  The best advise I can give you is to somehow get yourself some 'just me' time to think about your health; decide how you can take better care of yourself.  You need to be strong and healthy to be able to continue to do all the wonderful things you are doing for other people.  They need you!  Take care.

Hello, Everyone. I’m back from the no-cell-service area of Nauvoo, IL. I had a relaxing girlfriend weekend and made 30 greeting cards. 

 

It it sounds like everyone is getting on track. I will try to follow suit.

Our grandson our has the flu. Prayers and good thoughts appreciated.

 

We spent most of this evening hunting down tamiflu for him. Ended up having to drive to a town an hour away to get it. We will be doing lots of hand washing and sanitizing but I most of us will end up getting it. Hopefully we won't all get it at once.

I didn't do a structured workout but spent a lot of time walking.  My Mum had to go to hospital for an ultrasound - she found a lump on her back, and as she has a history of non-hodgkin's lymphoma she got a referral for an ultrasound, and we were lucky she was able to get an appointment straight away.  I took her to the hospital, as neither of us drive we went by train and walked from the station (quicker than waiting for a bus).  Now we have to wait for the results which she wont get till Thursday.

 

Sherry - I hope your grandson is feeling better.  The 'flu is no joke.  It used to make me laugh when I was at work an someone would take a "sickie" and come back the next day saying they had the 'flu.  I've had the 'flu probably just three times in my life and have been bed ridden each time.

Went to see Black Panther with the family (plus daughter's boyfriend) on Saturday. It was really good! A good background of the character and somewhat of a James Bond flavor to the story (high tech gadgets, a casino and kick butt action scenes). The women in the movie were awesome!

 

Still trying to get back into 'I need to be a healthier me' mode but struggling. My head is just not in the game and I have been making very bad decisions food wise.

Prayers for your grandson, Sherry.  So far we've stayed away from the major flu this year.  I do get the stomach flu (which I know isn't the flu flu, but that's a nicer way of saying it than what's really happening).

Hang in there Celeste and let your mind think.  It'll come back around, I just know it.

Sunday - 2 (posting and freebie/Sunday challenge)

 

I was going to reboot today, but my boss bought Chinese food for lunch to celebrate Chinese New Year.  Getting ready for work was frustrating as hubby has the day off (President's Day) and was hanging around wanting my full attention.

 

I overate and under-moved this weekend but most of the sweets and junk that I usually love to splurge on didn't taste very good to me.  Hopefully that means my tastes are changing toward healthier food and I just need to control my portions. (Except for the General Tso chicken, shrimp lo mien, crab rangoon, etc.)

Weight = 155.6, new low! 27 pounds down since 11/20/17!

 

Hubby and I did well to stay mostly on track give the stress of the great tamiflu hunt and not eating dinner until 10:30pm.
