We have a great group of people in a challenge group ~ but sadly we can't post on it right now...so I am putting our daily challenge here, with a link to a blog that shows todays exercises.

 

Each day we work a different part of the body.  Today is what we call Thigh Thursday.  Here are the guidelines:

 

FIRST: Choose 3 exercises you will do ~ out of the 10 listed below.

SECOND: Choose what level you will perform each exercise at ~

NOVICE LEVEL ~ no specific number required. The idea is to encourage you to try
an exercise and not be overwhelmed by a set number
Beginner - repeat the exercise TWICE
Intermediate - repeat the exercise THREE TIMES
Advanced - repeat the exercise FOUR TIMES

You can be at different levels for each exercise. The goal is to challenge yourself and ~ most of all ~ get in the habit of moving!!

THIRD: Respond to your team captain that you completed your daily challenge (and have earned another point for your team.)

1.  The Royal 3 minute workout video

2.  20 Bridges - legsheld together

3.  15 Lunges

4.  30 squats - you choose what kind

5.  20 (per leg) - Inner Leg Lift

6.  20 (per leg) Side Leg Lifts

7.  20 (per leg) Backward Leg Lifts

8.  20 (per leg) Diagonal Lifts

9.  5-15 second Wall Sits

10. 5 (per leg) Leg Circles

11. 1-3 minute Tennis Ball Squeeze

howdy!!!!!!! yay!  someplace to type!  and yes, Whitney, we're supposed to get our group back in a few days...  they had some glitch when they updated stuff and we've been harrassing the heck out of them about getting it fixed 🙂  I'm sure they love us by now!  Just keep doing what we've been doing and they should have it repaired either tomorrow or the next day.  No surprises!

I agree!  totally lame.  I want our group back!  If I stomp my feet a lot, do you think I'll get my way faster?

Oh good... just looked at the page and Tami added the tennis ball thingy for people who have knee issues.  You can use a small squishy ball, a tennis ball, or a rolled up towel for that one.  Just something that has a bit of give to it.  Make sure you concentrate on the thigh muscles when you're doing it or you can sit there all day and do them and not even feel anything.  If you tighten the butt muscles at the same time, you can get even more fun from it.

 

And of course I have NOTHING to do today at work so this would be a day to not have our normal group...  I'm bored!

And I forgot to add...  Tami has the flu so today's the perfect day to get some extra steps in and pass her 🙂  Not that I would do that when she's feeling sick...  no...  that might be mean...  heh

Why did they fix something that wasn't broken? 

I liked the way the old forum worked.  This is crappy.  But I'm glad i found you guys.

If anyone likes the sound of this group, you can find us under the activity groups with the same name.  It's designed for people with 75 pounds or more to lose.  We'll be starting a new challenge on January 1st when the December one is finished so stop by and get to know us before it starts.

I will start that to day will try 20 but will do my best to do it if I dnt be able I will start less of 20 and go up .I am 76 years old so can be hard but I will try
