I started wearing my Fitbit Charge HR band Feb 15. 2015. I have synched to myfitnesspal.com app where I log my food. I want to lose 10 lbs from 109.4. However, I'm only allowed 554 calories a day. Could this be accurate? I'm the height of a 12 yr. old but 554 seems very low.

I think the estimate is based on losing 1-2 lbs a week. When you dont neccassarily NEED to lose weight it will always be harder. I started at 400 lbs and used to lose 15-17 lbs in a week sometimes...Now it's a lot more work.
I think it probably takes like 1200 cals for you to maintain your weight, so your calorie deficit is just about how fast you want to lose it.

Fair enough. Myfitnesspal.com won't let me or maybe anyone go below 1,000 cals a day. It gets angry when you do. LOL. Congrats, on your weight loss!

Its the calaries you can eat right now, you earn more as the day goes on or your activity increases.
What I do is plan out my meal plan for the next day in myfittness or on fitbit that way when I start the next I immediately am conscious of all the calaries I want to eat that day and the counter will be in the negative . I will "work" toward that with my activity level. . When i finally have more calaries to have for the day I usually chill out for the rest of the day as I will have the decifiet I was working for that day.

So for only 10 lbs, unless you want a fight on your hands with body rebelling, you should easily be at 250 cal deficit, or 1/2 lb weekly on MFP.
And you are correct, it stops the floor at 1200 calories.
Now - if you keep seeing big calorie adjustments coming across on MFP exercise tab (it's not just exercise, it's the total daily burn difference) on non-exercise days - it means whatever activity level you selected on MFP was wrong, too low.
So if you selected Sedentary, and on non-exercise days see Fitbit adjustments of 200 calories say, you need to increase your activity level to Lightly Active.
Now you'll probably get the full 250 cal deficit to an eating level.
And now your Fitbit adjustments will be smaller on non-workout days, allowing better planning.
But don't try to follow 2 paths to the same destination, just asking for headaches and aggravation - even if a man isn't driving, not asking for directions.
Just follow the MFP eating goal, adjustments and everything. That's where the food is logged, that's where the eating goal should be followed for ease of use.
Use the Fitbit for the burn side of the equation only, and fitness goals.
