Confused about calories

I have to be looking at things all wrong.  Right now it tells me I am 482 calories over, which I am over to some extent..The more I move my calories I burn, the more it says I am over.  For example I burned 20 calories with no more food intake....suddenly my calories are over even more!  Can someone enlighten me?

I am not sure I completely follow your question. if you are logging your food, it will tell you your overall caloric intake for the day. On the other side it will show you how much you have burned whether it is BMR or TDEE and then show you where you are for the day- over, under or at.

Hmmm, this is an odd one.

 

Is this related to when tracking food/calories, there is an attempt to predict future hours of calories burned? That sound similar, but maybe the opposite of what's going on here?

 

Regardless, you're in good hands with @emili  here. She's knows almost everything. 🙂
