Confused at weight loss

I'm looking for advice.  I'm a very unhealthy 15 stone I have changed my diet and exercise drastically in last week and only lost 4lb.  I know that seems a lot of weight to lose and it is but on the first week of diet when I've never been as strict with food and exercise I've lost more. I'm really trying hard. I'm burning over 3000 calories a day by doing getting my **ahem** out of bed at 5 am to do yoga then a 50 minute dog walk with my crazy husky then in evening a smokier walk. I'm 51 years and feel it at times 😂.  My diet before was terrible. I'll be honest I ate chocolate, crisps every days, had couple of take aways every weekend with wine, Prosecco, cocktails etc etc. Any time I've went into a diet I've still had a drink at the weekend with a take away and chocolate bar abd still lost weight. This time I've had none. No goodies what do ever or baddies should I say 😂. No alcohol etc and to give myself a good kick start I've been very strict with food 5 out of 7 days having a tangerine and small banana for breakfast, fruit & fibre cereal for lunch and hone made soup for dinner and occasionally 99 calories fibre bar. First week on a diet in the past and sticking to it only Monday to Friday with no exercise I could lost 7lb first week.   I know a safe loss is a lb to 2lb weekly but usually first week there's a lot of fluids etc. Any advice is welcome as long as it's positive. Thank you kindly in advance

Alex,  You are doing GREAT.  Just my opinion but I don't think you should be so impatient.  You need to be in this for the long haul.  Don't make it so unpleasant and impossible to keep up.   The walk with you dog is very good too.   Doing exercise just trying to lose weight doesn't work so don't go overboard on that.  Lots of reasons you might not have lost more so don't judge too quickly.   A bit of it might just be elimination.  Hang in there.  I'm sure you are going to succeed.  Just making the decision about what you want is key!!!

@AlexMcN70 your expectations of what you could be losing vs should be losing is a dieter's conundrum. We think our good behavior over a weeks time should out weigh the months and years of bad behavior. sadly that isn't the case and as we get older it becomes less so. I know the goal is to lose weight, but maybe for a short time, the goal should be to eat high nutrition food, get daily exercise and in general do good things for your body because you made a commitment to improve your overall health. not only will you feel better, chances are extremely high that you will be rewarded with looking great too. Once you see the results- keep going and magic will happen.
