Hi! I am a 62 year old female who has a sit down job and has chronic arthritis in the spine and knees, fibromyalgia and bilateral trochanteric bursitis in the hips. I have seen many doctors, therapists etc... I have approximately 30% mobility and am on a lot of medication that promotes weight gain. I just found out that I am also missing an enzyme called filaggrin which makes me carbohydrate intolerant. I am not giving up as I have to lose at least 100 pounds. I bought a fitbit charge HR and will by trial and error learn how to eat, exercise and lose weight. I am wondering if there is anyone else that has this problem so we can share information.

Deeny, YOU GO and YOU GOT THIS...
I'm 64, with numerous medical issues, many that keep me from exercising. I've been following Weight Watchers since 3-15-03 and will forever (or as long as WW is around). I was 7 lbs from my goal weight loss of 100 and changed several medications. Added 40 lbs back, yet never more and am on way down again. I bought the fitbit as another tool in my weight loss tool box. It does help me as I can see what I'm doing. My step goal is 3000 and I've gone over almost every day. I'm a bit disappointed in the fact that you don't have to walk to make the steps add up. I stuff bulletins for our church and in the 2 hours I did that I racked up nearly 1000 steps. THAT ISN"T RIGHT, I was sitting on my couch, my arms and upper back were moving, but not my feet. I in no way burned nearly 300 calories in those two hours. Where do you live? I'm in Katy,TX (outside of Houston). Best wishes for dropping that weight, getting to feeling better. Arthritis and Fibro are tough ones to work with, I fully understand where you are coming from. God Bless.
