Do you have any Exercise videos on VHS tape that will play?

ANSWERED

Rice University was moving  old VHS tapes from one building to another.  Crystal popped one of them into a machine and found that even though they had been stored in a climate controlled room, they had deteriorated to the point that they were trash.  I have lots of exercise tapes I never did exercise along with.  I have movies, music and books on little cassette TAPES.  I am going to test the cassettes today as I have a machine hooked up that will play them.  Crystal can test my VHS tapes Sunday.  My major goal for several years is to empty my house of useless junk.  When children inherit a house full of junk they must pay insurance and property tax sometimes for years while they sort deceased parents junk.  I have a very big cabinet that I may be able to clean out really fast.  My tapes moved across country several times in very hot 18 wheel trucks.  I'm not very hopeful that the wedding video survived.

Today at Crystal's house we played a VHS tape of her 1990 wedding that had traveled across the country twice in a hot 18 wheel moving van rather than being in a climate controlled storage, and it played just fine. !!!  So instead of being able to toss a huge bin of movies and music etc I'll have to look at all the labels and decide if I really need that old stuff or not.  Since Barbara Strisand sounded horrible on the cassette I played, I'll need to play more to decide since I have a machine where I can, easily.  You never know.  But if I'm not going to hook up the VHS player,..........why keep that ?  I ditched  the old huge collection of plastic  records years ago.  Even though they are "coming back" with some people and I even have a record player,  I'm not sorry I haven't been lugging all that around all these years and storing it.    Thinking about NOT being sorry I don't have all that and the real to real music etc.  I think another load of VHS player equipment and tapes need to go to Goodwill. ........Just cleaning out my house, you know.  What do you think?

After I did my 30 minute walk today, I played a cassette music tape.  It was one already in the machine and I don't know how old it was but it sounded ok to me.  Later I'll take an older one up there.
