Its not easy! Here is my Pledge! Will you join me?
The struggles of eating right and working out daily! Seems like every where i go there is some tasty treat on sale or a fast food restaurant with a $1 menu ready to give you food in 2 sec that will kill you in a few years if you were to eat it on a regular basis. The cost of convenience is your health it seems with every thing in life. We can turn lights on and off by sitting in your chair clapping, a T.V. remote that controls every electronic device in the house, you no longer have to get up to turn the channel or adjust the volume any more.
Seems like life's little things we have at our finger tips are also little things that keep us from being as active and aid in our ability to stay unhealthy. Imagine if we didnt use the tv remote for everything, walked instead of taking transportation when we could? Used the stairs instead of the elevator? Made a healthy lunch the day before to bring to work so you didnt have to make a choice about which place is the LEAST unhealthiest and then blame our decision on the fact we didnt have time.
I find my worse enemy is myself and the inability to hold MYSELF accountable and not make excuses for why I didnt eat right or work out that day. My goal is to try to set my self up for success by preparing my meals ahead of time and eliminating that chance that I will make an unhealthy decision. My odds are better if I keep myself out of that environment. As far as working out, I just need to push PLAY! Thats really what it comes down to. My biggest hurdle is literally pushing that **ahem** play button. As stupid as it sounds I catch my self having a 30 min argument about why I cant do it that day or at that time of day... When if I would of just push play and did it i would of been done by now. Every time I finish my work out I ALWAYS feel so **ahem** good and refreshed! I just have to stay out of my own way. I AM MY BIGGEST REASON FOR FAILURE! I hold my self accountable! Not the lack of time, kids, wife, work,or anything else. I need to make time! There is always 30 min in a day I can find to do my 30min P90X3! I just have to make it happen and better prioritize my time. Maybe you can relate and have the same problems as myself.
With all this being said Starting this week i will hold my self accountable and write in every day what I eat and what my work out was. I wont forget to tell you what I had to drink all day. I will also prove it with pics to help hold myself accountable. I need to be a mentor and a role model to those I want to help. I need to make sure I practice what I preach. Doing this will make a big difference in my life and in those who follow me. So wish me luck and I wish you luck in your journey. I will be here for you and i hope you will be here for me. Take care and good luck. Make sure you stay out of your own way. If you actually took the time to read all of this I appreciate you doing that. Thank you!
