That eating 6 small meals a day is better than eating 3 large meals. Eating 6 small meals is the key to never being hungry. You want to eat before you get hungry, a schedule is in order. Once you get hungry, we all know what happens then, lodgic flies south. Don't allow yourself to become hungry!

So is there a study that shows this, or just opinion?
Because strictly for weight loss, doesn't matter. Studies show that out.
For being hungry as your stated purpose, sounds like personal preference.
I know plenty of people that if they eat too often, they do nothing but elevate their insulin all day long (which is going to happen after eating for 2-4 hrs depending on how much), and then that leaves them with slightly lower blood sugar often, which makes them feel hungry even sooner than normal. Meaning that goal was not accomplished of never being hungry.
Also to the fact that when there is insulin released, fat release from cells as energy source is stopped, so constantly doing that may not interefere with eventual weight loss, but not great either usually.
But true if you wait too long and are hungry, you can sometimes over do your next meal. But is overdoing by say 200 calories on planned 400 cal meal really better than 300 cal snack and 300 cal meal?
How about just have a balance to your meals so you don't get insulin spike, don't get low blood sugar, and therefore don't feel hungry?
Or don't take such a huge deficit that body is forced to send out the hormones to make you feel hungry?
Edit - just caught fact of ancient post, oh well.
