Do you think Eating burned calories the next day, help to maintain weight?

Saw a video of someone talking about eating their overall burned calories for the day the next day to maintain . My Fitbit is pretty accurate on my workouts . I however sometimes workout at night and that ups my overall burned calories and by then I’m already ready for bed. I was wondering if anyone tried this and is successful in maintaining.

Sure.

I'd have huge calorie burns on a bike ride over the weekend - and could not eat the whole amount that day to keep a reasonable deficit.

Keep a weekly balance, your body doesn't know midnight.

For some workouts - the repair & recovery happens over next 24 to 48 hrs anyway when it would like more nutrients - so works well to eat the next day more when you might be hungry.

Now - if dinner was light on protein, and the workout was intense like lifting - there is a benefit to getting some protein in before bed, since the body will attempt to do some repair while you sleep.
