Did you mean:

Do you weigh more if you have worked out prior to weigh in?

I worked a night shift and had to go to a weigh in after work! I found to be a little more on the scale. Could this be to not allowing my body to rest prior to a weigh in?

I have found the best time to weigh is as soon as you get up. That is when I weigh the least by a few ounces.

I think the thing with weighing just after waking and using the toilet is that at this point you are carrying the least amount of water and fecal waste material in your body - that is, you haven't been drinking or eating anything for about 8 hours. If you just got off work then these conditions do not apply and it is reasonable to expect to weigh in at a pound or 2 more.

Good luck

i've noticed my body tends to retain more water for a day or two after working out.  i'll see little or no movement on the scale and sometimes i will "gain" weight.  i know it's all water weight, so i don't really think much of it.

It can be a number of things. Generally it's not weighing at the proper time. It's best to weigh in after you have slept a full 8 hours and wake up in the morning time with an empty stomach. It's mainly a weight buildup cycle. You wake up with the lowest weight, and pick up some as you go along with food, drinks, exercising, and regular work. In the evening, you would have the highest weight. Usually around 5 pounds if you haven't overindulged. Then lose some to most of it tomorrow morning.

If you kept your calories burned and eaten in check, you will drop pounds in the AM. But the PM you pick that up over time until the next day after resting.
