Don't eat enticing food that makes you feel bad. It isn't worth it

I'm just as bad as the lady on the 600-pound-life TV show, only to a lesser degree.  I swear I'm going to pay better attention, and be smarter.  The woman said she eats and feels like throwing up but eats it anyway.  I don't remember if she actually does throw up but if so, not enough of it to avoid being huge.  But I notice that if I eat a filled doughnut, I don't feel well afterward.  It is such a temptation but if we start paying close attention maybe we can use better judgment.  I'm definitely going to do better.  I hate the yuck feeling after some of that so-enticing junk food.

When I count my blessings, to avoid ever feeling sad, I start with I'm not a patient,  I still don't consider myself a patient but I've just been diagnosed with gout-arthritis.  This may be the worst or best kind of arthritis. (It flares up and then goes away mostly)   I wouldn't  mention it here except over  HALF of people over 65 have some kind of arthritis.  Anyway they say it helps if you avoid lots of food I don't eat anyway.  LOL  And in spite of having bad arthritis and not believing exercise helps you to lose weight, I'm one of the 15% of adults who has walked on my treadmill every day for decades.  It probably has kept me mobile.   I recommend it to help you stay healthier too.  Only 23% of people with arthritis walk as much as 20 minutes a day I think it was 66% who don't ever walk at all.  And all the food that is bad for weight gain is bad for arthritis too,  So the half of you who have arthritis need to avoid  all that fattening food for this other reason.  It was the usual list of red meat, full fat diary etc.

Everyone was asking me i I had done something to my right knee to make it so extremely painful, swollen and unbendable that I was on crutches.  I said NO!  I didn't do anything to it lately.   A few months back I stepped on a wet sanitizer wipe in a store and my foot slipped out from under me and I landed on my back with the knee bent.  That made the arthritis in that spot worse the Dr. said.   This whole thing is good for my diet in that mixing alcohol with medicine is bad so I saved lots of calories last night on wine.  I feel great this morning and I haven't taken any pain medicine even yet. I can walk without crutches,  back to normal almost.  I probably will not walk on the treadmill today though

Update:  I'm back on crutches & on my little rolling chair.  This has been a difficult day but I'm getting through,.  I had skin cancer surgery this morning, so that is over with.

I've had another un-brilliant thought.  I'm going to try to stop eating when I'm not at all hungry.   I feel better when I DON'T munch my way through the day.  I confess I do start the day with 30 calories of candy gummy vitamins.   I read that I may have caused this "flare-up" of arthritis by eating some high glycemic  food,  It was unusual for me but recently I ate some pasta, some sort of processed packaged rice,  I had a croissant. ...and even a little candy !!!   (Candy is definitely included in the definition of high glycemic food)    I will be scared of all that junk food for quite a while LOL  I'm so miserable today.  Since I can barely move I probably should be limiting calories too.   My weight was better (down) this morning and so far I've just had 1/3 cup of oatmeal and 3 15-calorie rice cakes with light butter on them, and it is 3 PM.
