Welcome to the next challenge!!!
Our challenge starts Easter March 27th through Memorial Day May 30th. (USA holiday)
To be part of the challenge you start by posting your initial weight stats and what you would like to achieve by the end of the challenge. You can then check in as often as you'd like with a weight update, to share a story from your week or start a conversation about a topic you'd like some advice on.
Welcome to all our new members, old timers, and anyone who is just following our challenge! Let's continue to work hard, meet our goals, and most important, give each other the encouragement and positive thoughts to keep all our spirits up!
Thanks to @saraj91 for the last challenge! Hope to see you again in here 🙂
A little rundown of terminology for anyone who is new:
USW- Ultimate Starting Weight
CSW- Current Starting Weight
GW- Goal Weight
UGW- Ultimate Goal Weight
PW- Previous Weight
CW- Current Weight
MFP- My Fitness Pal
Here is a link for our group! Thanks @Brujita

Hope everyone has joyful day.

Thursday check-in, with my 4-hour April 30 binge experiment included:
USW 246
CSW 212
LstWk 203
May 1st-- morning after huge feast 208!!
Today 201.2
CGW 200
UGW 189
Bullet points:
1) A big guy like me can EASILY 'gain' 5 pounds literally overnight after a huge feast.
2) This weight will drop in 5 days (it was gradual but steady) with immediate resumption of sensible eating.
3) This is probably why I dropped a ton early in January 2016.
4) My weight (201.2) is now smaller than the current year...I love movies and so my profile will reflect a movie eg 2012 Best Pic 'The Artist'..just for fun 🙂
Continued success to all! Rob K

Hello! I received my FitBit -- TODAY! 🙂
I just found this thread and I'm pretty ecited about it because it was Easter Sunday that my daughter and I went to Planet Fittness for the very first time! We have gone every morning (weekdays), since! Ive lost 10 pounds so far and I'm pretty happy with how its going!
USW: 189
CSW: 179
UGW: 160
I'm doubting that I will make it to my UGW by the end of the month (I have 19 pounds to go!), but it will be nice to see everyone's progress and help keep eachother motivated!
My name is Leandra and I live in Central Florida. 🙂

Hope everyone is having a good week! Almost the weekend for me, thank goodness. Then I'm really looking forward to Mother's Day on Sunday, which is also known as my one day of the year I get to sleep in and not have to cook everyone breakfast or clean the house day....haha.
I've been working hard at the gym and helping out a friend in her weight loss journey, I'm so proud of her. She is down 31 pounds since March 16th, helping her build her confidence and realize her potential is amazing. I'm also training to become a certified Les Mills BodyStep instructor! Fitness has become a very important part of my life, which I'm very grateful for 🙂 My weight bounces around the low 160's, which I'm perfectly okay with. I have muscle now which is pretty darn awesome!!!!!!

Hi All,
So another week of maintaining... *bangs head against desk*
Did my workouts, ate healthy & I'm still stuck but never mind, just one of those things. Will keep working on it & hopefully see a breakthrough soon. At the moment I am off sick from work with a rubbish cold, very annoying. So there was no badminton last night & having a lazy day today, hoping to feel better as I have a hectic week next week, also we are dog sitting this weekend & the weather in the UK is meant to be gorgeous so hoping I feel well enough to go for a few walks.
Anyway, massive congrats to everyone on their progress & positivity, this thread has helped me keep my head up & stay focused on what I've achieved rather on what I haven't achieved these last couple of months.
Hope you all have great weekends!

Didn't update last weekend...I went up a pound, but I think that was due to PMS, ugh. I've been sick all this week too and busy with school, so step gathering hasn't been great 😞 Hoping for an ok weigh in tomorrow morning! We're running a 10K tomorrow, so hopefully that goes well! Any tips on running when still kind of sick?

It's been a little over a week since I've checked in. I was hovering for the longest time at 122.2lbs. This morning I finally broke through though! I'm excited! I'm determined to see the scale at 121lbs now!
USW: 125lbs (3/30)
CW: 122.0 lbs (5/6)
GW: 118lbs (Memorial Day: 5/30)
UGW: 115lbs (6/11: The day I leave for vacation!)
Not sure if I'll reach my goal of 115lbs by June 11. Fitbit is telling me I should reach my goal around June 24. So I probably won't reach the 118lbs for Memorial Day, but I'll just be happy to be under 120 again. This week I've really been tracking my foods and eating clean! It's been hard, but I'm seeing the results!

Greetings all,I love reading your posts and I love the ongoing encouragement I see, keep up the good work everyone.
My halo slipped this week and despite one day of scoffing 10 belgian chocolates, a Mothers Day gift that I found on my verandah when I got home from the doctor's, I still had a reasonable week. Why did I scoff them? Got a call back on my Breastscreen, an anomoly had been found and a call back on two ugly lumps that came up on my forearm. As it turned out despite my stressing, the anomoly was nothing to be concerned about, just a cyst that will go away in its own time but the two lumps on my arm will have to be cut out, so that will hamper my resistance training somewhat as they are going to take one a week. Should not have stressed as much as I did, but I didnt want to be sick again. Anyway it will soon all be water under the bridge again as I am back on track and still under 61kg.
CSW Apr 1, 61.6kg (136.8 lbs)
PW Apr 30, 60.8kg (134.1 lb)
CW May 7, 60.9kg (134.3 lb) BMI 25.3
GW this challenge 60kg (132.3 lb)
UGW 57kg (125.7 lb) BMI 23.7

Hey Ruby, So glad to hear your health scares were nothing serious. I give you snaps for stopping at 10 Belgian chocolates. In your situation, DianeNYC 1.0-5.0 would have devoured a Belgian chocolate factory along with a couple of Belgians and a side of Belgian fries.
Good on you.

I'm super late with an update. Here goes:
USW: 163 lbs (March 2015)
CSW(3-28-16): 141 lbs
CGW: 136 lbs
UGW: 125 lbs
3/30/16: 140 lbs
4/6/16: 139.6 lbs
4/13/16: 137.8 lbs
4/27/16: 138.4 lbs 😞
5/7/16: 137.8 lbs
I have still been eating out a lot. Going out to dinner with the BF after work today, matter of fact! Ha. But I'm trying to be smart about it and am eating fruit and light snacks for lunch. I am done with cycling for now and have gone back to HIIT. I'm putting muscle back on, which I am ecstatic about. I am super sore and getting adjusted to using other muscles again so my weight has been all over the place the last week. I'm happy the scale is going back down for now! I have 3 weeks left to reach my goal weight- hoping I can get there. 1.8 pounds in 3 weeks seems easy, but my body hates me and fights me for every pound! Arg.

Hey Guys,
Checking in with my stats for the week:
USW 184
CSW 162.2
GW 157
PW 160.4
CW 159.4
UGW 150 (subject to downward revision)
I'm grateful for the loss, especially considering all of the stress going on at work & with family. I've been having intense cravings for pizza. Gave in twice but then back on track. Did well with logging my food this week and beginning to hit 10,000 steps again more regularly. Even doing yoga 2 or 3 times this week.
It's good to be back on the boards with you guys because reading your posts is helping me stay on track and reminding me that I don't need to do this perfectly -- I just need to do it.
Read the perfect Fitbitish saying for times like these:
"When you're going through hell, keep going."
Have a good one today,

Not a bad week, and back on track !
Had a couple of beers on Friday night with some old school pals, but walked to and from the venue, to get 4000 steps in.
Consultant tells me that the hernia operation will be done during July so a big incentive to get to UGW and a bit of time adjusting etc. as I don't want to lapse due to the recovery period.
The only downside is that some of my clothes that were too small are now too big, so will still be un-worn. Won't be going to charity shops just yet though, it is a nice dilema.
Looking forward to reaching my challenge target early, and try to smash the UGW.
Happy days !!

Thanks @dianenyc, you're encouragement is appreciated and @Samalama217, go for it girl, I know the fight is difficult, the body does not want to part with those last few pounds at all, for me as well. The first place I out it on is around the tummy and the organs and it is also the last place it leaves and resists shifting. We all have our struggles and they are as indvidual as we are. This group is awesome. Hugs to all who need it, I am with you ever step of the way. I dropped to 60.4kg (133.2) overnight and now I am working to ensure it stays off, lol.
Wishing all you Mums out there the greatest and happiest Mother's Day possible.

Had a re-think from yesterday, as I am sure that this is now achievable.
I am now used to copious amounts of lemon green tea and I am convinced of the benefits.
Thoroughly enjoyed my night out on Friday, which was made more enjoyable by the fact I was able to compensate by burning off the calories from the 3 drinks with equal exercise.
Another tool for the future, rather than the negative thoughts from wasted or lost calories.
Totally up-beat about it all now, so if I have a plateau waiting for me, so be it.
Hernias & Plateaux - game on !
