Welcome to the next challenge!!!
Our challenge starts Easter March 27th through Memorial Day May 30th. (USA holiday)
To be part of the challenge you start by posting your initial weight stats and what you would like to achieve by the end of the challenge. You can then check in as often as you'd like with a weight update, to share a story from your week or start a conversation about a topic you'd like some advice on.
Welcome to all our new members, old timers, and anyone who is just following our challenge! Let's continue to work hard, meet our goals, and most important, give each other the encouragement and positive thoughts to keep all our spirits up!
Thanks to @saraj91 for the last challenge! Hope to see you again in here 🙂
A little rundown of terminology for anyone who is new:
USW- Ultimate Starting Weight
CSW- Current Starting Weight
GW- Goal Weight
UGW- Ultimate Goal Weight
PW- Previous Weight
CW- Current Weight
MFP- My Fitness Pal
Here is a link for our group! Thanks @Brujita

Newsflash check-in!!
Worked out of town all weekend, ate smart, maybe a bit dry but today the scale says......
198.4!! (Goal 200)
Ran into a lot of people I haven't seen in ages...the 'omg you've lost weight' never gets old 🙂
New 'goal' is 189 (so-called 'Ideal'..I'm still overweight according to the BMI charts), but my real goal is to stay sub-200 for as long as possible. I am giddier than becomes a middle-aged guy, but I don't care...It's been forever since my weight started with a '1'..
Thanks to all and these threads..having to report every week REALLY KEEPS ME MOTIVATED! Rob

@HelenKr Thanks Helen...yes I am basking in the glory of seeing a '1' on the scale....it was hard but also easy..weird feeling...like a dog who caught a car 🙂
Thanks for your kind words; I hope and expect everybody here to have a day like today feels!
PS Movie is Tender Mercies 1984 (for 198.4 pounds) Rob K

Very Cool @OCDOC! Now I see it's in your signature line. I'm a movie buff too, meaning that I love movies, not really great about quoting Oscar winners, etc, but I love movies, old and new.

@dianenyc & @Samalama217 - I'm a pizza lover too! There's a place I walk to for lunch sometimes to get a slice. I think it's not too bad if I just have one slice and it's about a mile and a half round trip to walk there. 🙂

I have to google to dig up the Oscar info 🙂 BTW Best Pic 1984 was Terms of Endearment....I couldn't bring myself to post it..it's one of those 'great' movies I simply could not stand 😞

Thanks, Helen, I think you're right. A slice now and again won't hurt me. Last year -- what with the knee -- I had somehow decided that cheese calzones were Lenten fare. We know how that one went.
Walk to pizza. I'm going to take that advice before my next slice.
Hope all is well with you.

@dianenyc, @Bogdel and @dianenyc, thank you for your support, you lovely ladies are awesome too and the first lump on my forearm comes out today, will slow my resistance training a little but can still works on core and legs. After watching all my daily fluctuations in weight this past month have decided on going back to very strict Carb restriction (under 10%) as that seems to work best for me, it had crept up to 12-13% but I have not been losing on that, but it looks to me like I will be a very low carber for the rest of my life, but I am most certainly healthier for having ditched them and the low fat junk foods.

Ok. It is Monday and I am trying to get on track as I have been gaining... not losing. And that is so demoralizing that I don't post... which is not helping. So, I am going to try posting every day and make myself accountable.
I ate very clean today and logged my food.
Not quite enough water but better than I have been.
Over 10k steps and an hour of dragonboat training.
My goal is just 1 day. Just keep getting thru 1 day clean...
