In spite of the catchy/misleading title (no individual food will cause weight loss/gain in itself), I agree with the message: legumes like beans, lentils etc. are great! No matter what the paleo people say 😉

NO, eating less puts your body into starvation mode, and it stores fat. By eating more, and more of the right foods you give your body the nutiriton it needs, builds muscle and burns fat.

No. Wrong. Starvation mode is a myth. Your body obeys the law of thermodynamics. If you eat less you will lose fat. Quality of nutrition has nothing to do with it.
