Hi everyone.
I started my diet on Wednesday of last week and did really well until yesterday when my boyfriend and I ordered delivery food. I rely on public transportation so it is hard to get to the grocery store and we ran out of healthy food to eat so I caved and we got pizza. I feel so guilty and feel like I have failed already! Just looking for a little support or encouragement I suppose.
I also have a question about my tracker (I just started using the Fitbit One). Today it says I climbed 4 flights stairs but I haven't used any stairs yet nor did I climb any sort of hill. Makes me question how accurate these things are. Any thoughts?
Thanks for reading.

Don't forget to make full use of your freezer.
Frozen veggies are really great, easy to cook, and they last a long time. Frozen meat will thaw pretty quickly, especially if you get in the habit of taking out the next day's dinner and tossing it in the fridge the night before.
Not only that. but buying in larger quantities, then dividing them up and freezing them, will often save you money in the long run. Plus you can buy when they are on sale, not when you need them.

You can't build rome in a day - you have to take it one day at a time. Yesterday is over so you have to move on 🙂
Just focus on being a better person today than you were yesterday. Before you know it, you'll be tracking progress towards your goal 🙂
I've been on a diet for 4 months and lost 30lbs. I had a corn dog, 2 cocktails, lots of lemonade and some other naughty stuff on Saturday and was up almost a pound on Sunday. So what... I just have to deal with it and today I'm back down to the pre-corn dog weight 🙂 Saturday no longer matters, only today.

Planning is the key.
I agree that busy lifes can lead to unhealthy food choices. When I am on the run and I get hungry I try to pick the "better" option. It may not be perfect, but it's not about perfection. It's about progress and learning to make better choices.
Now next time you guys are ordering pizza in, I wonder if you can decide on having 1 pizza and a family sized salad? I would think that most pizza deliveries now offer side salads ... if you have a bottle of low calorie dressing in your fridge (which usually keeps a few weeks), you could do 1/4 pizza and a large serving of salad.
I would also like to suggest a workbook that is helping me right now to make better choices and to identify why I struggle sometimes with emotional eating. It's called "The cognitive behavioral workbook for weight management" - it's available through amazon and co-authored by one of my doctors. It is really helping me to analyze WHEN and WHY I feel I need to eat more than my body needs.

When you do get to the suprmarket. stock up on meat you can freeze and frozen veg and cans of tomatoes. That way your healthier stuff will last longer than just relying on freash. Think if there may be creative ways of uterlising shops you may be around durning the day. Can you buy a salad sandwich and take it home for tea?. hope you find some solutions cheers

You are doing great it takes a lot of hard work to change your diet for the long term. What I am trying to do is if my family's having take away to go for a healthier option then my usual meal. This mostly means eating smaller portions.
