Fairly new and need some friends to help motivate

Hey Everyone,

Just got started back with fitbit recently. Managed to dunk down about 8 lbs in the last 3 weeks or so, and trying to find some friends in here to help me stay motivated and accountable.

Would like to get off about 25 more lbs. The next 10-15 should be not too tough, but that last 10 might be. So eventually might be looking for a bit of guidance as well.

Hi John,

GOOD FOR YOU!! I'm going to add you as a friend and we can compete in steps. I'm interested in losing about 10 pounds but I don't think walking is cutting it for me anymore. Do you just walk or do you do other things too?

Good luck and happy fitbit-ing,

Casey

Thanks Cares.

I am excercising fairly consistantly. Some body weight strength trianing, and 4 days of cardio. Cardio consists of 3 runs a week and 1 spin class, and take the days out of the gym to try and hike and walk.

Been around the 13k step mark in the last few weeks.

Hello all,

I'm a huge Fitbit follower.  Age is late 40s.  To jump start a weight loss of over 15 lbs, I followed Atkins Phase 1 (hard to do, but low carb, low calorie).  Doing so allowed me to lose 15 lbs in 21 - 24 days.  Very strict diet and you cannot do heavy physical excersice, just walking, etc.  I have since completely changed my diet.  Low Carbs (no bread, no rice, no pasta, etc.).  My weakness is pizza (which I have every now and then) and sweets, which are easier for me to stay away from, but every now and then, I give in.

Now, I am working to lose the last 10lbs.  Here's what I am going to focus on:

1) low carb, clean eating, low calorie ( I use MyFitnessPal to track my intake)

2) 8 8oz glasses of water daily.  Amazed at how this makes me feel when I keep at this.

3) weigh myself daily - helps me mentally stay in the game

4) exercise (my goal is to run 15 - 20 miles per week).  Keeps stress off and activity level up.

5) track everything for 3 weeks - see where I end up.
