FitBit & Weight Watchers

I am trying to figure out if I can somehow figure out how many Weight Watchers activity points I am earning with my daily steps taken. On WW, they give extra AP for walking etc but only "continuous" walking for a certain period of time. How would I be able to convert my 10,000 daily steps to WW points? Hope that made sense  🙂

I am also doing WW in combination to using Fitbit Flex. Because I get most of my steps in on one big walk (about 75-90 min) I give myself 6-9 AP for that. Most of my steps are not really what I would consider activity points because they are daily steps. But those nice walks, I count! Hope this helps

I also only count purposeful exercise for AP's. I do not feel all day steps to be Activie enough to count. After all it is part of my day.

 

But some people do and you can add your steps at the bottom of the WW tracker.

But I would not eat them.

It all depends on your weight, the amount of time and the intensity of the workout.  That is how WW determines your points.  For WW, you can't just say how many steps.  Your fitbit should say how long your workout was, just add some more time if needed and look at the WW chart.

I suggest not eating beyond the points you're given per day unless you are eating the right kind of foods that lose unhealthy weight (body fat) and gain lean muscle. Check with your nutritionist on a list of foods that are right for you and how much you can eat upon earning to avoid picking up fat pounds.

In the tracker, put in the number of steps and use the "all day" option.  With APs in WW, a person starts earning them only when the level of activity exceeds the "baseline" for a person of that age and weight.  At my age and weight I get about 3 APs for 10K steps over the day - fewer than when I weighed 35 pounds more, of course, and probably more than a person half my age would earn for the same # of steps.  Let your weight loss be your guide in terms of whether you increase your food intake using your APs.  But remember that weight loss involves muscle loss as well unless you are very careful about incorporating both strength training (with increasing weight) and proper nutrition (not just points, but what those points consist of).
