I have been using my FitBit One since Novemeber and I love it. As well, I had been using MyFitnessPal and just recently Weight Watchers to track my food intake. I have been able to sucessfully synch both of those apps with my FitBit as well. But I have noticed that FitBit also provides some measure of tracking food intake...does anyone use this exclusively with sucess, or am I going to be better off using a more dedicated product for tracking this kind of thing, namely food and meals?

Just be careful and follow the diet plan given and not the In vs Out system. Mostly the reason I say this is I'm 75% sedentary and not an athlete. Everytime I followed the In vs Out system I gained weight because it wants me to eat an extra 1,000 calories. It's best to listen to your dietitian WW and follow how many calories you're allowed to consume or Points since you're on that system. Unless you're fit as a fiddle, it's best to check with the dietitian during the weight loss to your goal.
I've done this for 5 days straight and dropped 2-4 pounds in a week.

Welcome to the forums @SiberianKhatru! If you are a MyFitnessPal user, all the caloric amounts of the meals logged through your Food diary will pop up on your Fitbit Tile for calorie allowance.
This will happen if you are also logging your food through Fitbit. However on WW you will see on WW the points allowance based on your Fitbit activity, but it won't reflect on your Fitbit Tile.
Let me know if you have any questions, happy stepping!

I use myfitnesspal to log my food and sync it with the fitbit. They have the best database of food, and very easy to add food. Good Luck

I also use MFP instead of the Fitbit food tracker. It lets me store things like meals I always eat, recipes from websites, my own recipes and has a great database that they are starting to verify (little green check beside verified foods). It syncs up with Fitbit really well. I really like the feature at the end of the day 'complete entry' and it tells you what you could weigh if you ate and exercised the same as that day for 5 weeks. It keeps me motivated with postive reinforcement when I'm doing well and slaps me in the face when I need to do better. I don't eat back my calories from exercise though, some people do. I don't think I could physically eat that much even if I wanted to!
