I deal with this myself. My husband and I ride about 8 miles a couple of time a week. It does not count my miles correctly and I'm constantly peddling.

I wouldn't expect it to count miles correctly.  By definition, a bike makes traveling from point A to point B faster and more efficiently. The distance 1 peddle movement on a bicycle is not the same as the distance covered in one step.  

The only thing you can get from certain models of a fitbit (HR models) is the calorie burn of the non-step activity.
