Food logging on fitbit, I'm really fed up of MFP

Sorry these are probably just noob questions and easily entered but they are probably features I've found most useful in the last year of MFP logging

Can I save meals or recipes or do I have to build them as a food entry?

Can I copy over previous day entries to the next day?

Is there a recipe builder?

Is there a barcode scanner?

Food entered in fitbit doesn't log on MFP does it, but if I enter on MFP it does log on fitbit

Thanks in advance for any help

ive not  used mfp - only fitbit to log food. so my answers are partial answers. i trust someone else will step up with answers to those  i dont know.

yes you can build a meal - but you need to adjust the ingredient portions for just one serve, so divide that onion by however many portions the recipie makes.

no - ive not found a way to repeat food from day to day - other than to log the combination as a meal, and that makes almost a one click entry.

yes there is a barcode scanner, but as i live in New Zealand the food entries dont match the local supplies - not a great problem as we cook from scratch most days.

i use the web site on my ipad, and the inky glitch is sometimes i cand add a custom food with a serve other than '1 serve', id love to customise an entry as two pieces or 4 sections, technically i can but when i do fitbit wont save the entry, and advises me the problem is not me but 'them'.

no idea about the log feeding back to mfp -

fitbit food tracker in inferior the MFP and you can link MFP to the fitbit.  Also, with MFP you can save recipes, meals and you can load recipes into it, barcode scanner.  Plus, they have the largest food library out of any app.

Thank you both

I know MFP is more extensive and I've been using it since June 2014 and been in maintenance since feb 2015

but there are far too many inaccurate database entries that have been verified by some autobot and if I'm honest I'm kind of annoyed at the forums so I want to be able to extricate myself from the site

Hence looking for a decent logging alternative

Which I haven't found yet

Hi @Rabbit- Logging all your food and meals at Fitbit.com, without MFP, is certainly an alternative. Both my wife and I have been doing so for well over two years now and have no issues. But perhaps we're not as judicious as your are when it comes to accuracy. At the beginning, we had to edit many food items and create our own. But after a few months, these special edits and addtions have trickled to one or two new items per month. The food logging interface is not as user friendly as it could be, so there a bit of a learning curve and frustration at the beginning; but once you get the hang of it, it works quite well.

Hope this helps. Have a great day.
