Food tracking in Australia

Hi. I'm new to Fitbit and am having trouble tracking my food and calorie intake in Austrslia as the food is mostly American and I often can't find my equivalent. I found that you could sync your Fitbit to myfitnesspal however when I put my food into this app it wasn't syncing with my Fitbit. Is anyone having similar issues. I am 52, overweight, and hope to lose about 0.2kgs per week. I have already started walking to reach my goal of 10000 steps and already feel a little better. Hope to hear from someone soon. I have done weight watchers on and off for the last few years and I get to my goal then relapse. I really hope this works for me. xxx

I'm having the same problem, I'm in australia aswell and pretty much all the food I try to scan in it says it's not part of the database so I'm just using my fitness pal to track my calorie intake.

Thanks so much for your reply. Does your fitness pal sync with the Fitbit? If so how did you do it?

It sincs pretty well, you can scan your food into my fitness pal and it will automatically put that food into fitbit along with how much calories were in the food, and to since your fitbit with my fitness pal you go into settings then "steps" then it will ask you if you have a fitbit or some other kind of tracking device.

I would like to follow this as I too am hoping to be able to track my calorie/food intake and would like to know if there is a way to change to "food choice list" from American to Australian. I have a fitbit flex. I also love the sleep tracker and steps too.
