I haven't posted in awhile, but I thought I would Post here again to help anyone who is starting their own battle with weight loss.
I started my battle at the end of 2012, I was around 33stone, I researched Into ways of weight loss, healthy methods; I wanted no short cuts.
First I made an appointment to my GP and talked over what i wanted to do, however what he wanted to do was to feed me drugs or slap a rubber band around my gut, I wasn't going to do that so i set about the task myself.
# I set short term goals, A weight i wanted to be per month.
# I counted my cal intake, and halved it making sure i had the correct marco Nutrients
# I performed 30 mins cardio x2, 15 min weight lifting and 8 to 10 mile hiker per day every day. At random times to keep your body from adapting and thus limiting the effect.
# I planned 1 day of a week where I would eat anything and everything, this is important.
# I never took short-cuts, if i could walk i walked, if i could jog i jogged, Dont drive it you can walk there, dont take the lift if you can use the stairs.
Thats all i did.
Here are some tips.
#Keep workouts random, doing the same thing at the same time each day lowers the effect of what you are doing because you body knows whats coming.
#plan you workouts around you life not your life around your workouts.
# Diet in a healthy way, not eating enough will stunt any weight loss, always eat breakfast, a Oats with fresh fruit and almond milk will do wonders, or a protein shack.
#Small life changes often have the largest effect.
# Dont make exuses, accept your failures and learn from them.
# You will at some point weight plateau, to get past these randomise your workout more, or have a week without your diet. to reboot your metabolism
# Dont perform workouts if you are tired, it wont aid in your weightloss and it can be dangerous
# When dieting cheat days are a must, this is because it resets the metabolism
# Take long walks or jogs with a friend or a dog, Its always more fun when sharing the pain with others.
# Music with a good beat will help you maintain a good exercise rhythm!
#Graphicaudio is your friend or any audio book, cardio is boring as hell and any help is welcome.
#Cardio - High Intensity Interval Training IS much more effective than standard cardio, mean you have to stare at a wall less also.
#Diet drugs all that crap is total bull**ahem**, none of it works, i know i tried it all.
#Drink Water, you wont lose waight without drinking the correct amount per day, also not doing it may cause health issues.
#Weight loss is a routine, its hard at first but once you have it down it because second nature.
# cant stress this enough, if you are as large as i was, goto a gym with a pool, swim for 1 hour a day, the weight will fall off and you wont stress your body as much as you would with other workouts.
