Hello guys,
I've been meaning to go out more often to walk/hike/whatever, but I don't want to get lost on unfamiliar trails, so I am planning to buy myself a portable GPS.
I was hoping you guys might have any suggestions on which one would be nice.
I've looked around for some, but I'm not sure which one would be good. If I get one that is like for cars or something, I feel like it might lead me onto a road that is meant for cars only, and that I'd get lost.
I hope there can at least be a feature for me to:
1) Set one location to another.
2) Possibly distance, too, and time to get there?
Thanks so much.

I recomend you get a handheld gps unit, like the ones used for the game of geocaching. When you get your gps, see if there are downloadable trail maps for your area that you can load on the unit. This will help you stay "on trail".

Got an iPhone or Android phone?
You got a GPS unit already, with all kind of app options as to what you want to do.
For one that has basics functions of simple GPS unit only, with breadcrumb, ect - Handy GPS.
Then they go up from there in extra features.
