I’m a 19 y/o female that’s 5’ flat and weighed 123 lbs initially. For the last 4ish months I’ve been eating at a 1000 kcal deficit and have been running 60-70 miles a week. In the first 3 months, I lost nearly 20 lbs, getting down to 101 lbs. In this last month though, I haven’t lost any weight at all. In fact, I’ve gained 10-15 lbs (despite the fact that I haven’t changed anything except increasing my exercise intensity, as I’ve been doing over the course of the previous 3 months). I thought it might be water weight from occasional cheat days or my menstrual cycle, but I’ve patiently waited 4 weeks. No change, not even in my measurements. I also didn’t ever end up getting my period so I don’t know if that affects it. I’m just getting really frustrated because these are my last 5ish lbs, and based on how I was losing weight before, I should be done now, but I’m completely in the dark. Any insight?

@swagxranger I'm so sorry you are having this problem. You are so involved with exercise and calorie deficits. I understand that. I was so happy when Fitbit first came out and I could count calories used when I was active and NOT on a machine that counted calories used. When you go on a 1000 diet for a month or 4, you CAN NOT have cheat days or full time at hundreds more calories suddenly without putting on lots of weight. Period. Sorry. You must go from 1000 calories to 1200 calories for 2 days. Then eat 1,400 calories for 2 days, etc until you start gaining weight. Someone should have told you that long ago. You think that because you are exercising you can eat more. You would be better off not exercising. That thinking obviously isn't working for you? Concentrate on just eating right?
