Did you mean:

Got the Bluuues, got the fluuuu'es

...or at least a cold. Sore throat, hoarse voice, stuffed nose, mind-fogged. To tired to bother tracking my food or even care if what i eat is healthy (being sick means i'm allowed to buy and eat one regularly sized ben-n-jerry icecream).

On the pluss side, i've retaken my lost sleep on saturday and managed to slowly walk my daily 10k steps the next two days. Today i've so far only managed 6k, but i still got four hours left, which i have to walk in the dark because the sun just went down as i wrote this...

So, any rules you people have concerning weight loss and sick days? It would be crazy to continue the diet while sick, right? Or to exercise?

I understand how you feel, when you're sick eating healthy is the last thing on your mind! But do keep in mind that eating foods that are bad for you are going to make you feel worse for sure- not only physically but also mentally (eaters remorse)! Definitely allow yourself possibly some more bread for a flu and some clear soups with protein or something (depending on what exactly is wrong), and a lot of fluids but I certianly would not recommend going completely off the edge!

Good luck!

And thats the 10k'th step just as i stepped inside the door.
And i do have the common cold, not the flu, but it just was a too good post title to go to waste.

I've yet to experience eaters remorse (except from physical pain; the christmas dinner or eaten/drunk stuff that gives me acid reflux). But this is the first time i've actually managed to go downscale by my own actions.

Outside of weightloss the common cold is a lot worse experience when i dont get enough water, salt or fat in my experience. And a proper influenza is best if i starve trough it with nothing but water and the occasional sugary drink.

I am curious how or if this way of thinking will interfere with weight-loss dieting (calories-deficit, but otherwise normal meals).. I've been keeping an eye on the scale like i usually do (its more or less reflex every time i'm in the bathroom) and it goes a lot more back and forth than usual. Not by a lot, but not by the daily routine it used to. The actual weight gain would of course not be visible instantly, i have noticed that before when i had an accidental diet-break.

But you are right; going completely off the edge would of course not be advisable.
