Hello everyone! Welcome to the Halloween to Thanksgiving Challenge!!!
This challenge will begin on Halloween October 31st and finish on Thanksgiving November 26th. This is a little less than 4 weeks so try and be realistic with your weight loss goals so you don't feel discouraged if you don't hit your mark.
All you need to join this challenge is to post your stats regarding your weight, and check in weekly or as often as you'd like. We are a great support group and enjoy keeping up with each other and being there for our ups and downs.
HAVE FUN!! Most importantly enjoy yourself and your journey! 🙂
A little rundown of terminology for anyone who is new.
USW- Ultimate Starting Weight
CSW- Current Starting Weight
GW- Goal Weight
UGW- Ultimate Goal Weight
PW- Previous Weight
CW- Current Weight
MFP- My Fitness Pal

The last challenge group was so motivating & supportive, helping to keep me on track & reach my last goal weight, so I'd love to be part of this one too!
I am setting a goal of 3lbs loss by Nov 26th.

I love that quote....truly a let go of the past type feeling. I think that's the biggest thing all of us face is letting go of the guilt, anger, frustration, hurt in the past of what caused us to let go of ourselves and focus on our future and moving forward 🙂
We are officially to November! WHAT??? Ahh and my baby will be three years old on the 7th of November and I really want to cry lol she's no longer a baby, she's almost a preschooler!! I'm battling a pretty bad cold again, hopefully it clears up on it's own by tomorrow or it's off to the doctor. Our lovely Florida weather isn't helping it much either, this weather cannot decide if it wants to be a cool breezy fall or a humid hell inferno of fall ugh!

Ah, babies and colds. You sound like my baby -- now married to my splendid SIL with two boys (four and one). I know how hard it is for her to rest when she's sick -- taking care of the boys takes a lot of energy -- so you have my sympathies. Get as much rest as you can.
It goes by so fast -- five minutes ago I was sitting on a stoop in Brooklyn eating a popsicle -- now I'm a grandmother in a fitbit community and popsicles are a distant memory -- but it's all good.
Back on topic -- I plan to go down at least 1.5 lbs. this week. Saturday 11/7 -- I'm going to a birthday party for a friend -- so I'd welcome any suggestions on how to pre-plan for birthday cake and a glass of wine.

Hi everyone,
Its my first time checking in in the past 10 days or so. I was on vacation and managed to not open my computer for the whole time! It did mean that I did not check in here, but also that I did not check my email, do some side work, or stress about work, so all in all a good thing.
Over my vacation I was pretty active, but my eating could have been better. I did a lot of driving arround and errands so I never seemed to be able to plan well. Anyway, it was a bump in the road. I am back on track now and I feel good about it. I am going to hold off on weighing myself until my next week weigh in so that I dont stress about any gain I may have had during my vacation. So next week I will post my numbers, but this week I will just enjoy the motivation and the feeling of being back to my normal routine. I come from an English family so TG has never really been a big deal for us. We will all get together for dinner but I should be able to keep it pretty healthy. I will do all the cooking.

I have been a bit off track lately, but - had Chinese food last night and am 3 pounds heavier this morning! Yikes! I know it is from the salt, and most will come off by tomorrow, but still. So, I'm also going to wait a bit until I post the numbers, and figure out a reasonable goal. Meanwhile, increasing water and walking a bit more.

It's been a hard road, but life events made me realize that life is short and I'd rather be healthy and happy! Still a few more to go... it's much slower now but I know I'm doing it the right way.
