Halloween to Thanksgiving Challenge 2015

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Halloween to Thanksgiving Challenge!!!

This challenge will begin on Halloween October 31st and finish on Thanksgiving November 26th. This is a little less than 4 weeks so try and be realistic with your weight loss goals so you don't feel discouraged if you don't hit your mark.  

 

All you need to join this challenge is to post your stats regarding your weight, and check in weekly or as often as you'd like. We are a great support group and enjoy keeping up with each other and being there for our ups and downs.


HAVE FUN!! Most importantly enjoy yourself and your journey! 🙂

 


A little rundown of terminology for anyone who is new.

 

USW- Ultimate Starting Weight

CSW- Current Starting Weight

GW- Goal Weight

UGW- Ultimate Goal Weight

PW- Previous Weight

CW- Current Weight

MFP- My Fitness Pal

Starting about a week late but hopefully thats okkk

 

USW- 157 (?? aroung that)

CSW- 151

GW- <145

UGW- 120

 

It's possible that I'm actually a little less than 151 but that's what my scale is saying now after a weekend of having my parents visit me in Spain 😛 (so we've been going out to lots of restaurants)

Good morning everyone kind of sad that I can't ware my fitbit anymore do to bad rash from the band not the battery or the clasp but the band material itself. Luckily the step thing still works if I carry it in my pocket don't really understand that Fitbit would not resolve this problem rather a high priced pedometer right now.

Did lose one more pound this week but really need to work at it to get a lose anymore.

 

USW=220 lbs.

CSW=199 lbs.

GW==195 lbs.

UGW=180 lbs.

CW==198 lbs.

Hey folks,  just checking in. 

 

I killed my step goals last week, and despite a weekend of having a little bit too much fun (drinks with the ladies, etc) I still managed to stay mostly on track.  My coworker recently got a fitbit so our daily challenges have been helping ALOT! I even managed to hit 25K steps on Friday - I've had my fitbit since March and I've never managed to hit that goal!

CSW - 226 Nov 2,2015

GW - 220 - New GW - 115**

Current - 220  (woohooooo!)

UGW - 180

 

Since I've hit my goal for this challenge already - I'm going to adjust and go for 115 by Thanksgiving!

Check on Ebay to see if they have any other Fitbit bands, not sure which specific device you have but I have a Flex and was able to purchase a replacement band online, and it's not the same material as the standard Flex bands that come with the tracker. It's more of a plastic than a rubber, maybe that would help?

I hit my steps everyday this week and watched my food intake very closely. As great as the scale looked, I know half of the 5lb loss was water weight. My scale also shows body fat % and it went from 36.7 to 35.2.

Since my scale already surpassed my goal weight, I've adjusted my goal weight for this challenge from 180lb to 175lb. Focusing on polishing up my diet this week!

Well this week I made it to the gym five mornings and tracked everything that went into my mouth.  It definetly paid off because I lost three pounds. The challenge is going to be doing the same two weeks in a row!

my fitbit needs a new battery..why can I not find the time to do that? Did walk about 5 miles yesterday though. 🙂

     UGW 140 ish ( not really sure about that, want to be where i feel good, then stick with it). Keeping it reasonable this time around. Going to be doing low carb lean protein to support my hubs new diabetic dietary needs. Good wishes all around!

All you need to do is post your starting weight and set a goal weight that you want to be at by Thanksgiving. That's all 🙂

 

Then check in how often you'd like!

I know how frustrationg a foot injury can be.  3 years ago I had a compression fracture and a torn

tendon in my right ankle.  After 3 hours of surgary and 6 months of therapy I am walking but 

it will never be as strong as I would like.  But I am walking.
