Halloween to Thanksgiving Challenge 2015

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Halloween to Thanksgiving Challenge!!!

This challenge will begin on Halloween October 31st and finish on Thanksgiving November 26th. This is a little less than 4 weeks so try and be realistic with your weight loss goals so you don't feel discouraged if you don't hit your mark.  

 

All you need to join this challenge is to post your stats regarding your weight, and check in weekly or as often as you'd like. We are a great support group and enjoy keeping up with each other and being there for our ups and downs.

A little rundown of terminology for anyone who is new.

 

USW- Ultimate Starting Weight

CSW- Current Starting Weight

GW- Goal Weight

UGW- Ultimate Goal Weight

PW- Previous Weight

CW- Current Weight

MFP- My Fitness Pal

Didn't make my goal weight, not sure what's going on within my body but I'm having a scale rollercoaster each week. Down up, down up, down up....up again 😞 I've been pushing myself harder for my 5k which may be the reason why my body is acting up. Either way, I'm more than proud of what I have accomplished and I will work hard in the next challenge 🙂

 

On a very happy note, I FINISHED MY 5K THIS MORNING. It was alot tougher than I thought, I hadn't seen the course ahead of time but knew there were some hills. More than I thought it turned out and the wind was fighting against me. I'm proud to say I finished in just under 43 minutes and I'm just fine with that! My goal was to not go over 45 minutes so I'm very pleased. Can't wait for the next one 🙂

Tracking diet using My Fitness Pal in conjunction with a Charge HR.  Working so far   🙂  Will see if I can keep it up...

 

Edit: 1 week in - 103.4kg 8 November - 1.1kg down so far  🙂 (but going out for dinner tonight, so next week might not be as good)...

 

Edit: 2 weeks in - 103..0kg - 14 November - another 0.4kg down, 1.5kg total so far  🙂 A little bit less than I wanted this week. However considering there were two birthdays, going out to dinner & a sore foot, it was a good week  🙂

 

Edit: 3 weeks in - 102.8 kg - 21 November - another 0.2kg down. 1.7kg total so far 🙂 Not as much as I would like - but still in the right direction - and the lowest it has been for 10 years. 🙂   Just realised - 10kg from my starting weight now  🙂

 

Edit: 4 weeks in - 103.2 - 26 Novmber.  Not sure what happened in the last week. I was behaving myself, so hopefully only water which will come off next challenge.

 

Still 1.3kg for the month is OK.  I was aiming for about 0.5 kg per week, so not too far off.

OMG.  I ate so much for Thanksgiving.  It was too much, but it was good.

 

I feel guilty, but now I'm back onto plan, wanting to loose more before Xmas!

A little short of my goal, but I'm o.k. with that. I knew my goal was a tad agressive when I set it.

 

USW: 191.7 (9/15)

CSW: 174.8 (10/31)

PW: 167.5 (11/21)

CW: 167.1 (11/26)

UGW: 105 (5/26)

 

I lost a total of 7.7lbs for this challenge. And, while I ate a little more than normal today, it most definitely wasn't a gluttony feast. I'm feeling good. Bring on the next challenge ...

I am off to Mexico for 2 weeks so lets hope I do not gain it all back (YIKES!!) plan on visiting the gym daily and making wise choices....see you in January. You have all been very encouraging and I wish you the best for this next challenge.

Didnt meet my goal BUT my back went out a couple days after joining the challenge so no workouts.  I am super happy that I was able to lose weight without working out!!!!!

 

And I just joined the Thanksgiving to New Years challenge.  🙂

Good morning everyone!!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!  I am sorry that I am just posting my stats today.  The holidays have been so busy that I hadn't had the time to get on the computer.  It is great to see all the activity and progress we have made through the holidays.

So I didn't make the goal I had set for myself, but I did manage to keep losing.  I have to say that even gaining a little between the Christmas week still felt really good.  Because I know how much more damage I could have done to my diet.  I truly enjoyed reading everyone's posts and they definitely kept me motivated to move in the right direction. My wish for the new year is for everyone to be happy and healthy!!!
