Has anyone on here had weight loss surgery?

I have recently undergone gastric bypass surgery.  I am four months out.  I was wondering if anyone else on here has had any type of weight loss surgery.

If you're wakling that far a day, you're probably gaining muscle which is more dense than fat and weighs more. The good thing is about mine, the credit union I use deals specifically with that doctor and had a special loan just for them. I didn't mind paying the price. I have a terible back, arthiritis and bone spurs all up and down. I had major back surgery when I was 25 and they removed the back half of three of my lower vertebre. My back just kept getting worse, and I couldn't get mobile so I had to do something. I also had other issues coming up that were weight related. Unfortunaltey it helped part of my back, but my middle back and neck are still an issue and I'll probably have to have my neck fuesed in the very near future. It's all genetic and at 42 I have the back of a 90 year old. Sucks!!

im sorry.. my mom has neck issues.. they are doing the steroid shots to avoid surgery.. her disc are denergrating.  which means its probably genetic.  not looking forward to it.. however, she was also just in a bad car accident so that didn't help things either.. im going to switch to sleeve just have to save up.. im paying on my braces right now.. so, one thing at a time.. i have gained 40 but i also had gall bladder taken out and im regretting it..

I'm going to have my third set of epidurals next week, and that's since mid november. I can't have another one till next september. I had to have my gallbladder removed also, but I didn't have a choice. They did a test on it and most people's run at 25% efficiency, but mine was at less than 1%. I'm still not used to how much I've lost. I still wear most of the old bigger clothes that I have and people keep telling me to get smaller ones. After 30 years of being big you just don't loose that body image over night, and they just don't understand that. Besides that i'm not even considering buying a new wardrobe until i've lost all I'm going to, and it's really expensive on top of that.

I bought clothes from second hand stores saved money lol.. we had some really good ones in Alabama.  especially in big money areas such as birmingham..

No problem, I actually lost 53 lbs on my own and am no longer interested in the surgery.

I did liposuction surgery on my hips around 6 months ago. I actually wanted to lose weight naturally and did a lot of workouts and tried to eat healthily. But I have this body type, I think it’s called “pear” when my upper part of a body is very skinny, and my lower part is enormous. I tried to change my body through exercises, but my upper part was getting fit, and the lower part almost didn’t change. I found one clinic were they performed liposuction surgeries. Also asked for some feedback, and now, I’m glad that my body looks great and not like two different bodies combined in one.

If you don’t exercise and don’t eat right yes it will come back. Liposuction can not be compared to weight loss surgery

Yes. I had gastric sleeve surgery 8 years ago and lost 90# in one  year to reach my goal weight of 130#.  Its a tool,  not an easy out.  You can regain if you eat calorie dense liquids like sodas or ice cream or alcohol.  You have to learn to eat the right way to maintain your loss.   I'm a RN in my 60's. Hope this helped. Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S9, an AT&T 5G Evolution capable smartphone

Hi

I had weight loss surgery lots of years ago.

I started a group (unfortunately in Norwegian, but most Norwegians speak English)

If you add me as a friend, I can invite you to the group.

Pr, if you are in an international group for weight loss surgery, please invite me.
