Hi, I have well over 100 pounds to lose and could use some Fitbit friends to share stats with. I don't post much, but I love watching the two friends that I already have, and how their stats add up against mine. One friend and I keep taking turns being in the lead and the other I cannot even come close to catching. I probably only average 6-8,000 steps a day right now. I am doing Weight Watchers and hoping to lose a large chunk of weight this year. If you want to be friends, please send me a friend request. You can click on my profile and send it that way. Thanks!

I just download the app a couple of days ago when i ordered my fitbit. I have not received my fitbit yet hopefully in a couple of days. I must admit just tracking my stuff over the weekend has already send me at 2lbs lost. I really must have been eatting way over what i was suppose to. My office roommate and I are also doing our office gym during the week. I have 100+ lbs to lose but my first goal is to lose 30 lbs. I would love to get to know everyone and will accept everyone friend request. Thanks!

Hi, I have about 70 lbs to lose and would love to have some friends to help keep me motivated.
I have a desk job and find it hard to make that daily 10,000 steps.
All friend requests will be accepted excitedly!

Congrats! That's a major accomplishment! Over the past 8 1/2 months I also lost 110 lbs (from 300 to 190), so I can certainly empathize with you on the amount of will power and determination that effort took.

Hello, My name is Elizabeth-Marie and I have a total of to lose. Would love to do it in the next 64 weeks leading up to my wedding. My plan is to lose 2 lbs a week. I will be walking 15,000 steps a day and weight lifting 3 times a week with added cardio at lest 2 days a week. I am also cutting out processed food and added sugar to my diet and am limiting pasta and bread. Would love to form a support network of fitbitter to follow and be inspired and motivated by. I currently reside in San Francisco CA and would be open to connecting with people near or far. If your close and want to work out together I am open to that two. For those who are far away, online support, email or text is welcome. Feel free to connect on here or via email: em.loves2smile@gmail.com
All the best to everyone in the 100 club, together we can lose hundreds...even thousands of lbs.
Let's do this.

Hi all! I also have a lot to lose...my initial goal was 80 pounds. I am down 9 in the three weeks I have been using Herbalife, working out, and of course tracking my steps with Fitbit! So I'm getting there! I would love to find some friends to cheer on as they cheer me on as well...it's a great motivator!

It is so nice to see people just starting out and also those who have had such success already. Congrats to those of you so close to your goals. I am not much of a "dieter" and the most I have ever lost at one time was 25 pounds and I have since gained that and then a ton on top of it. It is so hard to realize that even after losing 100 pounds I will still be far from my goal.
I am struggling with motivation right now. My husband and I are doing this together and we have both been "off the wagon" for over a week. He has it harder than I do because he has worse habits (soda, energy drinks, and addiction to bacon, burgers, fast food etc). I am the healthier eater but he has 30 lbs to lose and I have almost 200! He is supportive but clueless so I have to do all the meal planning and measuring and cooking and its a lot to take on. Any tips from anyone on staying motivated? Any tips on making meals and snacks easier? Thank you.

I have had my fitbit since March 2013. I did not really focus on my goal or get involved in the forums or discussions. I guess I didn't really fully commit
About 2 weeks ago a co-worker commented that she noticed I was losing weight and said whatever I was doing, to keep doing it Yesterday, a co-worker asked me if I was losing weight, I replied with "I am trying". I told him he made my day
So far, I have lost 25.9 lbs. There is something to be said to being part of a support group. I have started participating in the activity groups and discussions. You are able to get helpful hints and tips from other members. Basically, you aren't alone. Folks may have ups and downs, but overall, there is a lot of motiviation and inspiration from other members.
Happy Fitbitting all!!! - Thanks Everyone

A tip with the low carb diet thing. Make sure you are carb loading to make sure your hormones stay in check, otherwise you won't lose weight.
Easiest way to do this... go two days low carbs then the third day eat carbs (a sweet potato for lunch, oatmeal for breakfast, etc.) Then, go back to two days low carbs.
This way you won't drop the whole plan because you're depriving yourself, you will keep your energy levels up, but you will trick your body into thinking its normal so it won't shift gears on you to counteract the low carb diet.

Thank you for the tips and encouragement. I am not really doing low carb, but I am trying to be gluten free to help my thyroid and am doing kind of paleo natural non-processed thing. I have read a lot about doing the carn loading thing or even just alternating between higher and lower calorie days to keep the metabolism guessing.

Hi, everyone...I've had my Fitbit for 2 years now, and love it, but find it's more fun when there are people to have friendly "competition" with, so please feel free to friend me.
Out of the 100 pounds I want to take off, I'm down 15. Very, very, very slow losing, but my Fitbit helps keep me from regaining everything when I hit rough spots.

Hello,
I have more than 100lbs to lose, just got my fitbit this week. I have a desk job and have really noticed the lbs pile on since I mostly sit down all day! I'm not much of a poster on these kind of forums but would love to keep in touch with people on the same journey....feel free to add me as a friend and hear about my adventures with a trek desk (arrives next week!)

Hello All,
I got my first Fitbit about 18 months ago when I decided to get control of my life. In the first year I lost 185 lbs and now I am maintaining at 115. I wish all of you the sucess I have found. I truly feel like a new person with boundless energy. The first 100 lbs I credit to my Fitbit since I was quite a fanatic about getting my steps and stairs in each day. It was a little harder after that while I was participating in activities the Fitbit can't register. I wish they would make one that was waterproof (been through 5 Fitbits since I have a tendancy to forget them on my clothes when I put wash in), and I wish they'd make one with a heart rate monitor so it could count things like cycling, skating, and spinning.
