Ok, i have hit that plateau many many times in my weight loss from 430 lbs to 280 lbs, here is what you do.
First thing is not to lose hope, weight loss can be affected by your stress levels and mood, i will out-line how to break a plateau well atleast how i do it, we are all different with varying metabolic rate.
If you are on a cal controled diet you maybe over doing it, eating too little is as bad as eating too much, a good and effective way around this is to stick to your diet (mine is around 800 to 1k cal) but on one or two days of the week you eat normally, dont over do it, just ignore the diet for one day or two days.
what this does it trick your body, your body will aknowledge the extra cals and assume you are no longer in danger of starving, this will take you out of starvation mode and reset your system, after this you should be able to lose more weight. the method is called zig zag.
also, it may not be what you eat but when you eat, try to space your meals evenly troughout the day, and try to have them at the exact same time each day, your body will remeber when you eat each day and if you stick to it you might not go into starvation mode as often, i recommend a protein shake for breakfast, this will boost your overall weight loss performance and energy levels for the day, never miss breakfast as this will pretty much slow your metabolic rate for the day.
Drink more water, water is key to weight loss, make your you drink your recommended amount.
I have tried all weight loss supps, none work exept one, and it works well. Sida Cordifolia
this has helped me no end, but never use it for longer than a month at a time.

Ughhh I have hit a serious plateau going on a month now. I've increased my exercise and increased my calorie deficit. I measure, I portion, I feel like I have tried everything! ahhh!! The problem is that when this happens to me I have a tendency to turn right back to food for comfort, and so for the past couple of days I've been binge eating and just not exercising very much and I feel gross, but my negative self talk is just like "ok well, look you failed. Might as well keep going down the failure path now." Any advice? I hate this cycle that I'm in! I want out!!!
