I am the exact same weight as I was when I got my Flex 3 1/2 months ago!
How about you?
I'm hoping with Spring here and Summer around the corner, that my walking will increase.

No, and I've had it for like a year or two. I got it to join a company challenge. I think the estimate on how many calories I burn might be inaccurate lol. Seems a little high. Losing weight isn't a priority to me, though. And I only seem to lose weight if I get sick or for the first few weeks after I stop an activity. I probably should lose some weight so I guess I'll start watching what I eat and lifting weights.
After I got my fitbit, I mostly just use it to sort of...compete with myself? It's entertaining to see what they consider as high calorie burning activities and seeing the heart rates for them. Apparently beat saber, ddr, and ice hockey are about the same level of activity for me lol.

I got two Fitbits, one for each arm. I'm losing weight twice as fast now. It's great.

LOL, yes. I'm joking. It's my sarcastic humour. But my point is, Fitbit's don't make you lose weight, it's only a tracker. The wearer has to change their lifestyle to lose weight.

I beg to differ.
I lost weight from the frustrations of having to deal with a faulty Ionic, Fitbit Customer Support (All empathy but clueless) and loss of hair (from pulling)...
But I heard "such weight loss" is unhealthy (i.e. Read "The Biggest Loser") and are now looking for a healthier alternative like Polar or Garmin.
Cheers

Weight loss is only as healthy or unhealthy as you decide it to be. When you create a food plan in Fitbit, you can choose between 4 options: easy, medium, kind of hard, harder (from memory). They correspond to daily deficits of 250, 500, 750 and 1000 calories, respectively. Even the most aggressive plan wouldn’t meet the criteria of an unhealthy "Biggest Loser" style diet.
Nothing against Polar or Garmin, but I fail to see how they would be "healthier" alternatives as far as weight loss is concerned. Regardless of what brand you choose to wear, you are the one who decides what and how much to eat.

Count every calorie.. and Move to burn 1,500 more than you take in daily .
Then you WILL begin dropping weight... 100 % !!!
You WILL lose 10 Pounds per month... that takes 1 hour on tread mill in AM
, Q Lunch and in evening for 3 Hrs ad day. ( FIND THE TIME & TRY IT FOR A
WHILE )
My intake was 2000 - 2200 calories & my Burn was 3700 calories.
Choose your food wisely and don`t cheat !
Remember... if you can lose 5 Pounds per month... ( THats only 1.5 hours
per daty ) thats 60 pounds a year from now...and thats 18 pounds by
Christmas...
HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!
That is how it works.

Sadly blanket advice with specifics is usually not the best for majority of people.
3 lbs weekly loss rate is only a smart reasonable rate for very obese.
Once you get into 75- 90 lbs to healthy weight, a less stressful on body rate would start dropping.
50-75 - 1.5 lbs
30-50 - 1.5 lb
15-30 - 1 lb
0-15 - 0.5 lbs
Most people might think in mindset about only losing weight on scale, no matter what it may be.
But that is almost always a backfiring simple mindset to not care about the fact you'll be losing more and more muscle mass attempting to keep a larger deficit.
And the ability to build that muscle back up will take so much longer afterwards.
Fast weight loss is what leads to the vast majority of dieters to fail in maintenance and regain their weight.
Never mind the large % that doesn't even reach goal weight to maintain it. They fail on the way down.
So always trying to burn 1500 more than you eat is really going to be a recipe for failure for majority.
And never will weight loss be linear in your example. Water weight fluctuates easier than that to ruin that goal, besides the fact if you are woman - forget it as the month goes on. So unrealistic and potentially depressing for 50% of the potential audience.
Sadly as weight goes down, that ability to burn as much drops too - so you either go more intense or go longer, and likely still find yourself eating less and less if you attempt that 1500 deficit daily.
Nice encouragement - but not really safe for most. There's a reason Fitbit (and vast majority of sites) only go to 2 lbs weekly, and if you go for manual option - given warnings.
So true about counting every calorie eaten though. Even add to that to weigh food - since calories is per gram, not cup or spoonful for volume.

Walking by itself will generally not be enough to make you lose a lot of
weight. It requires a lot of things like building muscle, diet, and
walking. It's hard and rewarding work.
But walking can help you keep the weight off. Three years ago I lost 75
pounds and have only regained about 5 pounds since then. Major weight loss
is hard to maintain and walking every day (12K steps or more), has allowed
me to beat the odds and stay near my goal.

10,000 steps a day. Lean protein. Abundant vegetables. Lost 20 lbs in about 6-8 weeks.

I love that formula as well @EleanorNC, simple and definitely effective, I still need to work on the "abundant" vegetables, but I'm getting there. 😀
