I am the exact same weight as I was when I got my Flex 3 1/2 months ago!
How about you?
I'm hoping with Spring here and Summer around the corner, that my walking will increase.

IT DEFINITELY HELPED ME LOSE WEIGHT AND BREAK THROUGH A LONG PLATEAU!
I have been on a lifestyle journey for 4 years now. Up until 4 years ago I had been on the yo-yo ride...UGH!
It was when I finally realized that it wasn't a diet or a "I'll do it till the weight comes off" kind of thing...that I finally started to see results. I have over all lost between 75-80 lbs. I say that because as you all know it's an ongoing battle. I will go up and down the scale about 5lbs...as we all do with water fluctuations, eating, swollen muscles, vacation,...etc. Anyway. I had lost a bulk of my weight in the first year. I started struggling about 6 months into my second year. Instead of giving up like I would in the past I just kept trying new things. I realized that I had to change things up when I got bored or stuck. Eventually I would drop a few lbs and just keep going. Last Summer (2015) I was on another plateau. I had finally gotten down to nearly my big goal. I had not seen 170lbs on the scale since, wow...probably before I got married in my mid 20s. I wanted so badly to break through that 170 mark. At this point I had to have surgery. I went in to the doctor and weighed in at 172....so close! Of course after surgery I hated getting on the scale because I was so swollen and had actually gained about 12lbs of water weight!!! (That's CRAZY!)
Right around this time my friend got a fitbit Charge HR. I had been looking at them and seriously thinking about getting one. I was wondering about the accuracy of them. I decided that it might be worth it and just maybe it would be another tool to keep me motivated and also help me to break through that 170 mark.
So I got one. After the surgery I did gain back a few lbs...I couldn't exercise as hard as I had before...BUT, I was watching my calories. I was probably not eating enough to be honest.
I had been using the loseit app and counting calories. Now this is an online app that you can log in on your computer and get on your phone. It was VERY useful and a wonderful tool that helped me lose a lot of the weight. The only thing is...As I got healthier and in better shape I didn't realize that my body was not burning as many calories. So I couldn't go by what the calories were on the site anymore. They are just an approximation of what you would possibly burn. It goes by your height, weight, age, gender, etc.
With the fitbit charge HR it was able to go by my heartrate. I realized that my stats were off and that I wasn't moving enough during the day. I wasn't burning as much as I thought for certain workouts. I realized that I had to do more in order to burn as much as I thought I was burning in the past. That is why I was plateauing so much.
Long story short....
I lost 7 lbs in the first month. Like I said...I had gained back a little weight after my surgery...so I was back up to about 175. I lost down to 168 by the end of my first month. I was so excited! I finally broke through to the 160s. I now hover between 163-165. It is a slow process but sometimes you have to stay at a certain weight for a little while. You have to let your body get used to it a little bit...then change things up. It's what works for me...but, it has definitely kept me accountable.

Since getting my FitBit Blaze exactly a month ago (April 10th, 2016), I've lost 10 pounds! I was having such a hard time losing weight prior. This definitely helped me because it's so nice seeing everything written down, such as how many steps I'm eating, calories I'm consuming, etc... I really kicked up my cardio because of this. I'm going a little crazy (2 hours of cardio a day), but it's what works for me and because of that, I'm halfway towards my goal. 10 more pounds to go! 😄

I've had my FitBit for about 6 weeks and I've lost 5 pounds since I started using it. I've been working out two-three times a week at the gym as well as walking when the weather's nice. I've also cut out white sugars and processed foods from my diet.
I'm finding the FitBit to be very useful in keeping me accountable and telling me how long my heart rate is in Fat Burn mode while I exercise! What a great tool!
Good luck on your journeys, everybody!

I have had my Fitbit for about a week and I have lost five pounds so far. Part of that is because I had a very active day on Sunday with 16,000+ movements. Most days I avg between 2500 and 5000 movements so far. I've set myself a goal of trying to get up to 5000 per day for now. However, with Fibro and CFS, I am challenged with pain and fatigue. This is why I set my daily goal a bit lower to start with.

Hi everyone! Newbie here...
I am not holding my breath, but I've lost 3 lbs this week since I got my Charge... My pattern seems to go a few days weight off, then a few weeks back to the weight I lost and then some...

I started on Christmas morning 2015.
since then, through lots of diet changes, food logging and exercise I have managed losing about 44 pounds. With 10 more to go.
the last month has been discouraging though. My weight has remained the same. But I have found a ray of hope. My body fat continues to drop! I know that BF number sometimes seems like a random number generator. However, looking at the data, while moment to moment or day to day numbers seem almost random, the long term data shows definite trends. So while in the last month, my weight remains the same, my body fat has decreased 3 pounds! This is good right? so overall I am getting smaller since lean tissue takes up less space....
So thats my story! I am going to continue my diet and lifestyle changes. I could not do it without the fitbit ecosystem and the data. If I only looked at weight, I might be tempted to give up. But armed with the data that says I am losing FAT, I willl continue my journey!

Don't get discouraged. I have a funny pattern to how I lose weight. I tend to hover around a particular weight. I will go down 3 lbs...then back up to my weight...then I will even gain a couple...then back down to my weight....then I will drop 5 lbs.
Everytime I drop that big amount I always expect at least 2 to come back and stick.
I had a fellow runner who does ironman competitions give me some advice. He said to weigh each morning without clothes and after going to the bathroom. Take that weight for a week then average it. Your average of the week is your weight.
You will always go up and down on the scale especially if you are female because of salt, water retention and things like that. A big meal can make a big difference on the scale. If I do an extra hard workout and am very sore...the next few days it can be possible to see a difference of 5lbs extra on the scale. The reason is...your muscles retain water when they are sore due to swelling.
So taking an average is a good idea. It also allows you to see the result of certain foods on your body. (if you are logging food) You can see what to stay away from or cut back on.)
Good luck!

12 pounds in less than a month. I love the competition from my friends to get up and get moving. I love my Flex. 🙂

@Punkynn01: You may want to use TrendWeight, which more or less does that automatically for you (+ draws nice charts and shows you the trend where your weight is going). It is especially convenient if you have a Fitbit Aria (or another smart scale that can connect to your Fitbit account), as you can link it to your Fitbit account.
Here is what my own weight data looks like for the past three months:
The red curve is what TrendWeight makes out from the daily fluctuating weigh-ins.
@Sand19 could also benefit from it for seemingly "randomly" fluctuating body fat % data, since TrendWeight also works with BF%.

I bought my Fitbit Charge HR on April 29, three weeks ago. So far, 7 lbs. down, but I am combining it with another program that prescribes portion control and thirty-minute workouts daily. Still, I am making sure I get in a minimum of 10,000 steps, so I know that is a big boost to my weight-loss efforts. Took today off (workout and strict eating plan), but I still got in my steps (12,318 so far). I LOVE this little device. It keeps me moving.
