I am the exact same weight as I was when I got my Flex 3 1/2 months ago!
How about you?
I'm hoping with Spring here and Summer around the corner, that my walking will increase.

@CardioNut @JumpingJenny Studies show that people who start an exercise program to lose weight, eat more, and don't lose weight. Studies also show that people who keep a written record of all their food and activities lose more weight and keep it off. It is difficult to record in a little notebook you always have with you the number of calories in every bite you take but it helps. It makes you aware of problems that you can then deal with. It is great that you haven't fallen for the myth that it isn't worthwhile to lose weight because everyone gains it back. Good for you. Thousands of people lose lots of weight and do keep it off. For good health try to find an exercise you can enjoy somehow (I read on my treadmill), and lower calorie food that you really can enjoy. Trying to do exercise you don't enjoy at all for any reason can't last long. Use you head to work on those choices.

Thanks Glenda! I have lost 4.5 pounds last week. So walking my dog is helping me. I do it once or twice a day if I have the time. I also have an elliptical and exercise bike I use on rainy days. I have my bases covered. I weigh all my food and log it on Fitbit. So I will keep at it and hopefully get to my goal weight.

I find that it's still about behavior changes. The fitbit helps track things more exact so that I know how many calories I have a deficit of and how much I've burned in exercise. But, if I don't change my behaviors (still the main challenge), I get a report each day on how I have NO deficit or exercise. 🙂

I track calories and have gone 20 straight days above the calorie burn set to lose weight.... and yet, very consistently after a high calories day, say like yesterday when I ran three miles and chopped wood for 45 minutes and bowled, I actually gained a pound.
I consistently see weight gain after hard physical exercise...anyone else"

When I eat more calories to compensate for calories burned, yes.
But, the excess food has itself weight beyond it's calories.
You carry that around for a day or 2, but it eventually,... well you know.
Don't worry, the deficit math still holds up over time, though on a day-to-day basis it may seem not to.

Increased walking will not be as effective as reduced calories eaten. Most people exercise more and eat more and don't lose weight. Surely you have heard that before???

@Petrivn and @DavideFitbit Good job both of you, losing 30 pounds is amazing. Hope you are still doing well.. Hope while dieting you found some new favorite foods that had lower calories than some of your old favorites. Best wishes

I've put on a few kg but I'm a lot fitter. I run over 20 km a day and pretty much eat what I Iike. I'm still in the healthy weight range at 57.6 kg. I was55.6 kg when I got my fitbit.

21 straight days at an average of 15% over the calorie burn goal and I am exactly the same weight as when I started.

Every single time, if it was actually a hard workout.
Water weight gain - body retains to help repair.
Sore today (though that isn't always an indicator except after doing unusual activity) means there is extra water there.
And then as stated, if you tried to keep the deficit the same by correctly eating more when you did more (will you eat less when you do less?) - you are carrying more food around. Perhaps you had more sodium than normal too - more water weight.

You make no comment of eating less than you burn or eating to a goal.
You have a burn goal that you met - great. That is meaningless for fat loss.
Unless you set a weight loss rate and are meeting an eating goal - forget it.

I lost about 70 pounds 5 years ago when I got my Fitbit. I have gained
about 20 back which is pretty good. I'm working to cut that gain in half.
