Have you lost weight since you got your Fitbit?

I am the exact same weight as I was when I got my Flex 3 1/2 months ago!

How about you?

I'm hoping with Spring here and Summer around the corner, that my walking will increase.

I started my weight loss by first joining Weight Watchers on November 1, last year.  To date, I have lost 60lbs. and a big portion of the loss comes from utilizing my Fitbit.  Our group is very active and competitive and we continually have 7 day challenges.  it makes a huge difference in you loss by moving a ton.

@bigdaddyleo congrats on the big weight loss. Surely you are feeling much better now. I have lost 33 since the middle of March and i feel so much better.  I have 17 pounds to go to be at my target weight of 200#. Of course thats my target and may be higher than i actually should be. I am typically comfortable at anything below 215# but am trying to go lower. I am 6' with a pretty solid build broad shoulders/chest. At least thats what i tell myself.

Good for you.  I have been through a similar track of weight loss.

I started using my Fitbit on 01/01/2016 and have lost almost 30 lbs. I can truly say that the device has put me in check to make sure that I get my walks in.  Also, I have been eating clean and not eating out while I am at work. I think that has made a big difference in my diet.

It has been for 8 years since I have gone down such a big number. I have 20 lbs to go by the end of the year. I hope it is doable!

Absolutely life changing.  I still have a long way to go, but I am now healthier, happier and in a great state of mind.

I've lost 15 lbs using ChargeHR six months and adding Aria a few days ago as my guideposts. Today I looked at my Weight dashboard for the first time. I wasn't even ready to look at it in the beginning. Now I am.

I see new numbers, ratios. I look up and to the right.  I'm feeling success and making progress, little bits in the beginning and expecting to increase it's usefulness over time, just like I did with my walking step goals six months ago.

My take aways today from hooking up my Aria:

  • Pleased w/ having a #BASELINE on Lean vs Fat and BMI
  • Perplexed about the #GAP
  • Optimistic about getting #GOALS and #TREND

BMI Body Fat Baseline.jpg

I searched for my why in the beginning, and since then I'm layering more reasons into my why as I go along my way. In the beginning it was a general awareness that I'm off-track with my physical condition.

Maybe it was when I attended a friend's 66th birthday party, looked at his physical condition and said to myself, "That is not me in 12 years-No way." When the music goes on, I'm going to lead dancing with my grandchildren. I must do something TODAY. In the beginning, it was take a little walk. It doesn't matter the actual number, get started and see where it goes. In the back of my mind, I knew that I could build my distances and time commitments along the way.

Now, six months into it, my fitness permeates many areas of my life that were formerly separated into different 'comfort zones', 'containers'. Spritually I'm increasing my awareness and this week took my first Yoga class. I would not have done that six months ago, but have done it already. I know this is big for me at this stage, but I'm just starting, and I don't even care that I don't get fitbit step credit, because I'm ready. I'm jumping out of my comfort zone again.

I've already proven to myself that I can habitually take 60 minutes most days walking. Now, I'm just blending and layering more activity, dietary awareness and new behaviors onto my past successes. I'm surrounding myself with supportive people. My why gets bigger, so it's actually a joy to take my walks.

I'm strengthening my 'no' muscles when offered food and beverage items of no value. I'm not tempted by sedentary ways to spend time. Because I'm on a quest for little victories and they are becoming more clear, counted up most every day and logged in the background--cool-motivating.

Started using my fitbit late August of 2015.   I have lost 48lbs.   but  gained 15 back. 😞 .   I have to say.  I really, really hate the new report set up.  My friend and i use to hold each other accountable by able to see each others food logs.   Now we can't do that any more.   DON"T FIX IT IF ITS NOT BROKEN.

I actually got my fitbit in December 2015 but was not a part of a community.  I've lost 20 + pounds.

Started using FitBit about a month and a half ago... Have lost almost 6 lb... Woo Hoo! I really think the combination of being extra active and watching my caloric intake have helped a lot. I am grateful for having the ability to not only track my activities, but able to log what I eat, heart rate, water log, and other much helpful stats...

How many steps a day are you doing?
Best Answer

I have settled in on 15K/day as my target.  I take one long walk in the morning of around 8K steps and then park my car a half mile from office to get free parking.  That gets me to 3K round trip and the other 4K happens pretty easily.  I try for 20K on weekends too.

I am at 18-20K per day, depending on the demands of the work week. Also, now that I'm down close to 65 pounds, (191-192) the weight loss has slowed to a crawl. Still seeing a decrease in body fat %, but that "under 190" goal is difficult to get to. I have not changed any eating habits or decreased my exercise, but still, that 189 is elusive. Ed

what is your body fat?  Agree, weight loss gets pretty difficult after a while.

26%...started at 34%..I'm pretty happy with the results so far, but that 24.9% puts me into the "Ideal" range. Not really much of a differance though. Maybe just a mind set..I still am officially overwieght. Emujo

I have gone from 36 to 16 which makes a big difference obviously.  My final goal is 13.
