I am the exact same weight as I was when I got my Flex 3 1/2 months ago!
How about you?
I'm hoping with Spring here and Summer around the corner, that my walking will increase.

I have had a Fitbit for a long time and yes it helps me lose weight. But I get lazy and start eating wrong it goes back up. I think it is more about personal commitment. This time I told my kids i would get it off and keep it off!

Someone once told me that the only way you know that you have gotten over
cancer is when you die of something else. The same goes for keeping weight
off, the only way you do it forever is to die before you gain it back.
About six years ago I lost 70 pound and kept ift off four years. But now I
am fighting as I have gained back 30 pounds and have hit the panic button
to stop it now.

Down -46.2 since 9/15/2021. I do fluid jogging 3-5 miles a day/6 days a week in a heated pool. Changed my eating habits to eating heart healthy with decrease in calories and portion (except for holiday - that's my cheat day).
On days I can't make it to the heated pool I try to get 1000 - 2000 steps a day in my home. Having chronic disabling pain makes it difficult for me to achieve on land what I can achieve in the water.
Just keep moving forward

I have lost about 40lbs. I have not increased my walking by much but I use the food log to keep better track of what I am putting in my mouth. I have limited sugary snacks and changed them for more veggies. Feeling good. I too hope that during the Spring I start walking more. With the prices of GAS I may have no choice but to walk more 🙂

Hey, congratulations. I lost 80 pounds and then, I broke my neck, right ankle, and left foot. I quickly gained 20 pounds back, in four months of recovery. Not a fun time, I was within 20 pounds, but now I have 40 more to go. Frustrating, yes, impossible, no. You just have to continue with the program and move on, a bit of a setback. I am now at square one, build up my stamina and skills and get to my goal. Keep your goal in focus, you will be confident in your abilities.

I am very sorry to hear this. But it sounds like you have a strong will and that will definitely aid you in your recovery. Thank you for the motivation you provide while you go after your own goals too.
Congratulations, I too have lost weight. More than 60lbs due to increased walking, hiking, and weight training. I would like to lose 30 more pounds and then maintain that weight. I had to do a lifestyle overhaul, which when I look back wasn't all that hard to do. I love the reminder to move on my Fitbit because I am a writer and can be very sedentary during the day. I live in South Korea where the country is 70% mountains and hiking is very popular. I don't use the food tracker as I should, but I think I will revisit its use because I know keeping physical track of food intake is a great tool too. And I feel you on the gas, hopefully, this will motivate a lot of people to walk when they can instead of drive, lol.

The Fitbit encourages me to move more, always a good thing. I like to challenge myself to do more and more. I log every bite and keep my calories, fiber, and carbs in the range I set. I weigh every day and record it. So the biggest thing for me is that the Fitbit and the ap are tools for me to track and keep myself accountable. My body tracks every step, every bite, but seeing it on the screen, and being able to see trends, is a motivational exercise for me. I have had the Fitbit over a year and I half heartedly tried losing weight but would quit when it got tough or boring. I put 100% into it starting in December, to date I have lost 22 lbs. I have a lot more to go, but I am faithfully recording everything and push myself to reach step goals.

Good job! Keep it up, even when you get a little discouraged. Persevere, reach out, keep on, keeping on.

I just started logging food again, But I’ll give you a for instance. I played two hours of hockey the other day. According to Fitbit I expended 1100 calories and 3700 for the day.
I ate 2300….weighed the next day and I was a pound heavier than the day before.
Happens all the time. I gradually drop the extra pound over the next couple of days but it repeats again when I hit the ice
So either the FB is recording inaccurately or the barcodes for my meals are way off

I've lost weight, then gained weight again, and am now in the process of losing it again. Feel more confident about keeping it off this time. I'm down 20lbs for the year so far, and am making good strides on reaching my weight goal.

I've recently got into the swing of working out again after a major slump during the pandemic. Happy to say that the exercise has not only helped my mental health but I'm also 10 pounds down.

My kids got me the Charge 5 for Christmas. I began using it as a tool to help me lose weight, and get my blood sugar and my blood pressure under control. Beginning Jan 3, 2022 I have faithfully met my daily goals at least 6 days a week. My daily goals are 10,000 steps, 5 miles, and to burn 3000 calories while taking in no more than 2500. I only get weighed when I go to the doctor (May) so I won't know exact numbers until then but my belt is using a hole that it hasn't come close to in years.

I received my Fitbit on January 4th of this year and set a goal to lose 50 pounds by the end of June. I have lost 34 pounds thus far. I feel confident I'll reach my goal.

After initial success (a loss of 28kg/62lbs) things plateaued and despite ongoing efforts - i.e. meticulous, detailed food tracking and plenty of exercise tracked by my FitBit no further loss has occured for over a year now. In fact I have actually regained a little even though the numbers suggest that I still achieve a weekly average calorie deficit of around 3000, so something seems really off somewhere! From a medical standpoint there's actually nothing further to be gained by continued weight loss but I had hoped to get my BMI under 25 regardless. It may be with the amount of exercise (cardio and resistance) I'm doing BMI is no longer all that applicable as it doesn't differentiate between lean and fat mass - I don't look overweight but according to my BMI of 26.5 - I am!
