Hello Fitbit World

Hello Everyone.  I dropped off the grid for awhile, but recently bought a new device and ready to pick up those steps once more  Weight loss is not easy and I seem to be gaining even though I'm working out.  So need to step up the cardio and watch what I eat.  Looking for tons of encouragement and maybe even a kick in the ......  If anyone would like to hook up as buddies I would greatly appreciate it.

Welcome back!

Losing weight has more to do with eating than exercise. Sure exercise helps. But watching what you eat is more of what it all comes down too.

I'm sure you can do it. Keep us posted!

It's possible to gain muscle mass when exercising while decreasing body fat, getting leaner but the scale doesn't show instantly yet.. (muscle mass increase compensates for the weight loss of body fat), but being leaner!

It's changing body composition,..

There are also natural fluctuations like water upkeep (eaten to much salt, not drinking enough water).. when going to the toilet and the water is darker yellow,.. it means to drink a bit more..

When eating we can be up to a few pounds heavier due the weight of the foods.. as energy is taken out (weighing back less) but food remnants from digesting the foods can still be inside our bodies which can be a few pounds to (or more if being constipated temporary)..

See if clothes are getting looser, needing to adjust the belt in the good direction (going one hole down instead of up).. if it's going up, may need to adjust something..

See how your body changes (abs coming lightly through under the tummy?), using a measure tape when desired to see if there's progress.. aside using a scale..

Hi Leah, good luck!

I found myself in the same place - I lose weight when I put my mind to it but it has been a while haha

Back at it now.

I'm visiting my family in 2 weeks and I want 4 pounds gone until then... I don't know if this even shows but I'll feel much better in those pictures! 😉

My little brother (not that little anymore) starter running. I went out for a jog first time in ages because I really want to keep up with him and be the big sister he can run with 😄

So, good luck! it will be worth it 🙂
