Hi. Got my Fitbit and i love it. Not sure what has happened. I love seeing the steps go up. I love the sleep info. The food is a challenge as have to add a lot in but dont seem to be motivated to do this.
My food was organised and i weight was constant. I was starting to walk/jog in the gym that i was loving but for some reason just fell off the wagon.
Not going to gym. (Going monday with a friend) Food prep gone and eating rubbish. Ahhhh
Mission in the next 4 weeks to hit my 10.000 steps a day. Plan and eat my great food, Drink at least 1 lt of water a day and go to the gym twice a week.
Can anyone spare me the time to say Hi every now and then.

hi 🙂
i just got my fitbit last night, and have been wearing it non stop. i've just finalized my divorce, and although i'm happy aout that, i'm disgusted w. myself and how poorly i've eaten, and how much i have NOT exercised 😞
one day at a time, i guess...even though it's chilly where i am (boston, ma), i think i'll go out for a short walk. it is fun to see the # of steps go up!!
you can do it! you already have a plan to go to gym tomorrow w/ a friend..that's good! for me, it's an eye opener to track all of my food...though it can be a pain, i didn't realize just how much i was eating!!
good luck- be strong 🙂

Hi Ya
Congrats i think re the comcldtion of the divorce. It can definatly take its toll. Onwards and upwards as they say.
Boston wow. Definatly colder that here. WE have had so so much rain this winter. Now for the first weekend we have seen the sun and it sure feels a bit like spring.
It is encouraging seeing the steps go up so yes this is in the right direction. Yes gym tomorrow which is great.
I have been thinking a lot about things latley and yes i am a buy person but i have decided to do the simple things and enjoy then rather than rush to the next thing. I am lucky enough to set my own hours of work so have decided that the morning are mine to do stuff. Gym, walk, do my garden, catchup with friends, sew, etc etc, so tomorrow is another day. 🙂
Thanks for making contact.

Hello there! I'm the same as you. I got my Fitbit sometime towards the end of last year and was so motivated by it. I would regularly hit my 10k steps a day and more, ate well and lost about 5kg. And then I went on holiday during the winter break and completely fell off the wagon... It's like I totally couldn't control myself and let myself spiral out of control for months - I knew I was allowing myself to be like that and kept trying to get back on in January and Feb, but it seemed like my motivation had completely disappeared! It's now the second week of March and I'm really determined to make this last, so I'll definitely pop by and say hi quite often!!! Good luck with your fitness goals too! :)))

Hi,
well, i woke up this morning...and it is SNOWING!! again. this has been a ery long winter in massachusetts...i'm def ready for the spring 🙂
where do you both live? Theresa - i'm guessing UK? i spent a semester of college in london, and loved it. it is nice that you can set your own hours at work. i was in that situation a few years back, and once i got into the swing of exercising in the mornings, i loved it! i really enjoy my job now, but i do miss that 'me' time in the mornings.
brave to step on the scale...i'm not ready for that! maybe in a week, or so, after i feel good about fitting in activity and tracking my food. entering food is sort of a pain, but i love to see how much i've eaten...or especially how much i have left to eat! 🙂
well...i've got to run for now - i'm a preschool teachers - have the 4 and 5 year olds...last year before kindergarten starts. and my boys are 7 and 9...so lots of activity in my house.
hope you all have a greaat monday (is that possible?) i hope we can encourage each other to be successful on our fitness journey.
talk soon

I'm trying my best to keep active and occupy my time with activities... I do obsess over eating whenever I'm bored or stressed. Hope your day has been going well!

Hey Theresaela. I am in the same boat as you. Its hard to get in the groove of things sometimes. Be strong. Dig deep and give the best you have. Start small, but start. I find myself needing motivation all of the time. Its the most difficult part of the workout I think.

I have had my Fitbit for about 3 weeks. I got used to logging my food using my phone and it has become a habit. I watch my intake and when i get home I go online and look at the Carbs, protein, fat etc. I am currently doing high protein, low carbs as a kick start and have lost 7.5 lbs so I am encouraged. Keep it up. The Fitbit is just a good accountablility and motivation tool if you use it properly.

Hi Theresaela!
Welcome to the fell off the wagon gang, gotta get back on it group
I too, lost my motivation for the last week or so. No real reason, things were o.k. at work, but I lowered my stnading desk and sat down last week. Then I came home, and did not do a nightly walk to finish my steps. Too tired to bother cooking, my son was sick with flu, did not feel like cooking for one, so I ate... cheese and crackers. Told my family not to come over and catch the germs, so we were pretty isolated, but I still went to work for a bit most days. Soooo, I managed to gain 3 pounds in 10 days. It took almost a month to lose them, so now I am trying to convince myself to go out and walk the block a few times, chase them away. I have hit 8,500 or more steps every day this week, but I need those extra 2,000 steps to make the difference. I need 10,500.
So let's motivate each other!
Get off our duffs and walk!
I'm in the sunny south, so I have no excuses - no snow, no sleet, weather was perfect today.
So I need to get up. Move.
How about you? How was the gym?

Hi Sheri!
Preschool teaching -- I love that age, but not sure I'd be able to be nice to my own teen if I did that all day!
But, you do get to get up and move, playing with all the kidlets.
I work at a college. Too much sitting. I park 1/2 mile from my building, so I can make sure I at least get a mile in at work every day.

Badmitton! I LOVE Badmitton!
There is a group that play it on Thursday nights, but it is 40 minutes from my house. Sometimes we go, but many nights we don't. It just a little too far.
I think it is good exercise. And fun.

Sheri Hi
Yep UK, and it has decided to stop raining. It has been such a long wet winter.
Setting my own hours is great in some ways but have to kick self all the time. So I have decided that mornings are for me and stuff and the afternoons are work. Seemed to work yesterday. Got loads done.
You are right the food entering seemed to be a it of a pain but i am going to look at it again. I think i hit a wall as a lot of the food makes are American and found i had to enter everything. 🙂
Congrates re job. I loved being a pre school teacher. This was another lifetime ago.
My boys are now grown. 1 left and 1 at uni. 🙂 So i have quitet home without regular child commitment so this also has put the focus on me. Very interesting times. 🙂
So now its Tuesday and i am in my kit and going out the door (When finished this message) to the gym. 10K steps here i come.
Have a great day
Speak soon

Hi my goal weight is 65Kg and have a little way to go yet so most of my activity is cardio. So thats where i am off now.
Decided to keep it simple this week. Eat sensibly and drink water and hit 10k step no Drink. See what results i get.
HAve a great day.
