Help. Need help to get back on the weight loss wagon.Anyone got spare time?

Hi.  Got my Fitbit and i love it.  Not sure what has happened.  I love seeing the steps go up.  I love the sleep info.    The food is a challenge as have to add a lot in but dont seem to be motivated to do this.

My food was organised and i weight was constant.  I was starting to walk/jog in the gym that i was loving but for some reason just fell off the wagon.

Not going to gym. (Going monday with a friend)  Food prep gone and eating rubbish.   Ahhhh

Mission in the next 4 weeks to hit my 10.000 steps a day.  Plan and eat my great food,  Drink at least 1 lt of water a day and go to the gym twice a week.

Can anyone spare me the time to say Hi every now and then.

x Tres x

Well done Sheri. Now that mental block is out of the way, you can concentrate on creating the plan to do something about it.

hey girl,

Do you put music on  to get your steps?

I find that when I put my music on (headphones) of course, I get my steps in no time flat. My music really motives me . I'm just trying to get with a actual person to work together. I just got out of the hospital week before last with congestive heart failure so I am taking it kinda slow but When I put my music on The beat  takes over and I move. Try it , you'll like it. ha ha

Hi Tres,

I know how you feel, I'm 55 and have been on the weight lost yo yo for the last 25 yrs, I got my Zip last week, my job is allowing us to go to WW for free if we attend at least 14 out of 17 meetings so I should not have any reason not to lose weight, right? Well the first 2 weeks of weigh in I stayed the same, the 3rd week the say I gaine 3 lbs, can you imagine the look on my face!!!! I'm like how?? I have some things that work against me, I work from home so not much excercise and I have a 5 yo grand so after work get them from school, come home start homework and then start dinner so not much time to get myself together but I've got to get those thoughts out of my mine because I see these little changes I make will be not only for me but for my grandchild.

So here are some of the changes so far, I've added drinking at least my designated 64 ozs of water, I buy the case if 16.9 bottles of water, I'm logging my food the old fashion way by writing it down in my journal, not much of weighing it but still mindful of what I eat. I'm making me some protein breakfast cookies to give me variety for in the mornings, my next WW meeting is this Thursday so I will see if any of this makes a difference but I do know that for me to lose weight I have to incorporate excercise so I will need to get back on my threadmill and bring out the Wii and the excercise videos but need to find the time.

I wish you, me and everyone else here on this website the best of luck in our endeaver of fighting this weightloss battle, I know we can do it, we will keep each other encouraged.

I really do think it has to do with your calorie burn - at least for me it was - in order for me to lose in conjunction with Weight Watchers point system at the time I had to burn 2500 calories a day - thats when I noticed the pounds coming off

Hi Helen,

When I first purchased my FitBit One, I was like you.  Loved seeing the numbers go up, which honestly kept me motivated.  But as soon as Fall/Winter rolled around, I fell off the bandwagon. Luckily, I managed to maintain my weight during that time off.  I think drinking green smoothies and controlling my portion size really helped me (while I was not working out).

What has motivated me to get back to working out and eating healthy is knowing the fact that diabetes and heart disease runs in my family.  Seeing my parents' health deteriorate has really given me that push I needed!

Please feel free to add me as a friend.  I am all for motivating each other! 🙂

Good luck!!
