Hi people! Okay I just got a fitbit charge and I am trying to find out how many calories I am allowd to eat per day and where do I find my calories I am allowed to eat per day on the web app and desktop dashboard?
I'd also like to know that as my weight drops do I recalculate my calories needed per day? How often would I do this, like every 10 lbs lost? I am 258 lbs and need to loose about 60 lbs.
How does the Fitbit Charge calculate how many calories a day I should be eating? Does it determine your TDEE? BMI?
In your experieces, does the fitbit app calculate your daily calorie requirements pretty accurately? I see there are alot of online calculators that help you determine your maximum calorie intake. They all say someting a bit different. Im hoping fitbits will be accurate.

Hi!
You enter your height and weight into the fitbit tracker so it calculates the amount of calories you need to eat per day, and will even help you figure out how many you should eat whether you want to lose, gain or maintain your weight. When you update your weight it will automatically change the number of calories your should consume.
On the online desktop there should be an icon that says calories in vs. out that will tell you how many calories you have burned vs how many you can eat. The icon looks like a guage that is telling you whether you have eaten more than you have burned or visa versa.
I am a kinesiology student and I have figured out my BMR {(basil metabolic rate) - how many calories your body burns to keep it alive)} - and the fitbit is only about 25 calories off.
Hope this helps 🙂
