Hey fitbit fam,
I've been going at this for a month and I am so proud! I've lost 20lbs so far and I have started to hit the dreadful plateau. I also have been experiencing some not so supportive family members which has impacted my motivational a little. I still get up and do my routine anyway. I'm looking for some ideas for encouragement and breaking through the plateau.
my Stats:
Cal in:1500
Cal out: 2,666
Cal Def: 1,166
Age:28
Weight:220
Gender: F
The goal is 2 pounds a week, I do this in the span of 6 days and have 1 cheat day. Any input is appreciated, thanks guys

My understanding is that the body is a self correcting system. So when you go for an aggressive weight loss routine it might perceive that as starvation and will put the body into a more efficient, less calorie burn mode. When my wife lost 40 pounds and I lost 60 pounds some years ago we addressed the plateau by easing up on the deficit to let the body adjust to the new ' normal' before going hard at it again. Hope this helps and works for you.

Check "The Dreaded Plateau" topic from a couple of years ago. It’s a typical case of losing too much, too fast. Your body is hard-coded for preventing you from doing unwise things.

in my experience weight loss stops when one of two things happens, you are eating more calories than you think or you are not burning through as many calories as you think. you may be unconsciously eating more on your cheat day than you were because you are "comfortable" in your routine and undoing your deficit in the process. Maybe reset back to the beginning of your weight loss strategy and see if things improve.
